Please Be Gentle With Me Mr Grant novel Chapter 34

“Well, no. I could have been blind to your true nature back then with your one kind gesture.”

Matthew leant close to Blanca and stared at her threateningly. “Then how about I bare my true nature to you right here, right now?”

With that, his gaze dipped lower, to her slightly open pajama collar.

Blanca hugged her clothes tight. “D-don’t mess around. I’m a patient right now, you know!”

Matthew narrowed his eyes. “Right. I’ll devour you after you get better.”

Hearing that, Blanca shivered.

So she really hadn’t seen through the true color of this man back then!

Seeing her on guard like a rabbit, Matthew decided to stop teasing her. Mr. Johnson came with chicken broth, and he took the bowl. “Do you want to drink it yourself? How about I feed you?”

Blanca flushed bright red. Mr. Johnson was still in the room! This guy just felt no shame…

She stole a glance at Mr. Johnson, who was smiling as he beat a retreat, closing the door for them gently.

Matthew took up a spoon and acted as if he was about to feed her.

Blanca snatched the bowl over. “…I can do it myself.”

Finishing the soup, Blanca sighed in comfort, feeling her body liven up.

“I’m sorry I came so late.” Matthew took a tissue and wiped her mouth lightly. “Louise went too far. I’ll make her pay, and apologize to you.”

“What are you going to do?” His brows furrowed.

“I want the family to know about what Louise did to me,” Blanca said surely.

There was no point to struggling with Louise in the shadows, and she wasn’t interested in such a thing either. She just wanted the senior generation to know about her bad behavior, and step up for her.

“All right. I’ll tell Grandpa personally.”

Matthew said, his voice unusually gentle.

He knew that Blanca wanted justice above all else, and he wasn’t planning on hiding it from Alan in the first place. Louise had gone too far this time, after all.

In the living room, Louise paced back and forth, while Carrie sat on the sofa, eating grapes as if she wasn’t worried at all.

Looking at her mother, Louise ran over in her panic and took the platter of grapes away. “Seriously, Mom, they are coming for me, and you’re still snacking? Are you just going to leave your daughter out to dry?!”
