A strikingly handsome man suddenly appeared in the hospital room. It was none other than Brad.

After having Cameron post that comment on Instagram, he kept checking for a reply, hoping that Nadine would respond to him. However, an entire afternoon passed without a single word from Nadine. Instead, it was the netizens eager for gossip that kept tagging him, driving him mad.

As the workday came to an end and Nadine had yet to respond, Brad, who was on the verge of losing his mind, finally snapped. Instead of letting his driver take him, he grabbed his car keys and headed straight for Harborview Hospital.

"Nadine Scott, let's see if you're really as untouchable as you think!" he said to no one in particular. The biting cold did nothing to calm him down. All he could think about was how he would confront Nadine once he saw her.

Hence, when he stormed into the cardiology department, only to be told that Nadine wasn't there, it felt as if he'd swung his fist and hit nothing but air.

He felt hollow—a sensation he couldn't quite put into words. It was an uncomfortable feeling—like having a fishbone stuck in his throat, lodged in such a way that he couldn't cough it up or swallow it down.

Suppressing his anger, Brad hurried to Adam's ward. Fortunately, when he arrived, he heard Nadine's voice coming from inside. In an instant, the anger that had been burning within him died down.

He no longer felt the urge to lash out. In fact, he felt pleased with himself. He was relieved he'd gotten there in time, or else he wouldn't have been able to catch Nadine.

He pushed the door open and noticed that Nadine was standing with her back to him, holding Sean in her arms. Her gentle voice was just as he had imagined it to be.

Adam had picked up on the tension between his grandson and granddaughter-in-law. He wanted them to sort things out, so he gave Travis a look and told Nadine, "Nad, it feels a little stuffy in here. Do you think I could go for a walk?"

Travis immediately retrieved his coat and draped it over Adam before walking over to Sean. "Sean, would you like to go for a walk with Grandpa Adam? He always listens to you. He'll walk as far as you ask him to. So, why don't you come with us and help me keep an eye on him?"

As soon as he heard that he could boss Adam around, Sean was ecstatic. He wriggled out of Nadine's arms and eagerly said, "I want to go! I want to go! I'm going to look after Grandpa Adam! Take me with you, Mr. Jenkins! Let's go!"

Sean was so excited that he slid off Nadine, grabbed Travis' and Adam's hands, then dragged them outside. There was no stopping him. Adam and Travis, on the other hand, were grinning from ear to ear.
