Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 488

A clear-headed Nadine stood at the entrance of the supermarket, tilting her head slightly as she stared at the tall and handsome Brad before her.

The sarcastic look in her eyes was enough to make his blood boil. His hands balled into fists as he felt the urge to ruin that beautiful face of hers.

Why was she being so spiteful? He was here now, wasn't he? He was spending time with her like she wanted, so what more did she want?

"Divorce again! Is that all you can think of?" Brad ground his teeth together, suppressing the urge to silence her. His dark eyes bore into hers, filled with a cold, endless depth.

"Nadine Scott, we're still married! Until that divorce certificate is in your hand, you are still my wife! Don't you ever forget that!"

He was genuinely furious with this woman. He had taken Alex's advice and gotten up early to wait for her in Adam's hospital room. He had already extended an olive branch, but not only did she refuse to accept it, she had to bring up divorce again!

Nothing annoyed him more than the word "divorce" at that moment. If looks could kill, Nadine would have been dead by now.

Brad's voice was low and menacing, barely containing his rage. His towering height made it feel as though a mountain was looming over her.

If this had happened in the past, when Nadine was still head over heels for him, she might have backed down. But she was no longer under his spell. With a clear head and a cold heart, she looked at him with cold disdain.

Even though Jean looked him in the eye and insisted that she'd only sent the photos because she loved him and wanted him to end his marriage with Nadine, he couldn't shake the feeling that he couldn't trust her anymore. Thus, when Nadine asked about the photos, he chose to be honest and forthright.

His response made Nadine laugh out loud. Then, she looked at him with disbelief. "Are you seriously attempting to tell me that the two of you are innocent just because you haven't slept together?

"Do you even know what it means to be faithful? It means your heart belongs only to me during our marriage, and you shouldn't be flirting with another woman—which includes actions like holding hands, kissing, hugging, or any other intimate gestures!

"Can you honestly tell me that you didn't hold Jean in your arms, Mr. Hamilton? That she never kissed you on the cheek? So, please, don't devalue the word 'innocent'!"
