Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 560

Alex called himself a good friend of Brad. Did good friends mock each other like this?

Alex completely ignored Brad's scornful expression and continued, "Come on, apart from Nadine, I can't think of anyone else who could get close enough to you. The only person who would beat you up like this is Nadine. I'm absolutely sure that it was Nadine who hit you."

When Alex said this, he was absolutely confident and full of conviction.

Brad shot a fierce glare at Alex, turned his face away, and said nothing. Nadine truly had no mercy when she hit him earlier. She didn't hold back at all.

Nadine was a woman, and the Hamiltons never hit women. If it weren't for that principle, Brad would've pinned her down and rubbed her face against the ground.

Seeing that Brad wasn't speaking, Alex knew that he had hit the mark. He stood up purposefully and circled Brad, looking him up and down. "Well? What did you do to offend Nadine?

"She's known for having a good temper. So if you pushed her to the point of hitting you, you must've done something awful. Come on, tell me. What did you do to make her so mad?"

When Brad maintained his silence, Alex urged, "Spill it. Let me have a good laugh."

Brad was a cold-hearted and impassive-faced man. He was icy toward everyone, likely due to his naturally indifferent personality. He rarely cared about women's feelings in relationships. Most of the time, it was women who rushed to cajole him.

For Nadine to abandon love and beat Brad so mercilessly, he had to have done something extraordinary.

Brad couldn't stand the smug look on Alex's face. He lifted his leg and kicked Alex's other calf—this time with full force.

The pain made Alex jump.

While massaging his calf, Alex snapped at Brad, "Brad, we're supposed to be best friends. You were the one who called me here because you're in trouble.

If it weren't for Nadine standing in front of Sebastian earlier, he would've dealt with Sebastian already. Brad would have forced him to leave Janctera City immediately, by hook or by crook.

After listening to Brad's story, Alex laughed. It was even louder than when he had first heard about Nadine hitting him. Alex tentatively asked, "Is it that hard to admit that you care about Nadine?

"If you didn't, why would you follow her around like this? Why would you get so angry every time you see her with Sebastian?"

Alex continued, "So what if Sebastian patted Nadine's head? What does that have to do with you? You need to understand that Nadine wants to divorce you. The whole city knows about it, which means you've already lost your place next to her.

"Don't think that just because you haven't signed the divorce papers, it doesn't count. If Nadine doesn't love you anymore, it means that she wants to let go. To Nadine, your marriage is already dead in name and in spirit. Do you understand?

"A woman who once loved you from the bottom of her heart finally gave up on you. Do you even realize how hard of a process that must've been for Nadine?"
