Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 576

"Brad Hamilton, I'm warning you. Nadine has finally managed to move on, so don't you dare come back and bother her! If you have even a shred of decency left in you, stay away from her!" Avery fumed.

Nadine was her best friend, and they had promised to be each other's safe haven. Whenever one of them encountered trouble, they could turn to the other for comfort and support.

In the past, Avery never had the chance to confront Brad in person or yell at him and vent her frustration on Nadine's behalf. Now that he was finally before her, she wasn't about to let such a golden opportunity slip away.

She'd be going too easy on him if she only gave him a piece of her mind. Avery had to drag his name through the mud over and over until everyone in Janctera City knew exactly what a scumbag Brad was.

Despite her harsh words, Brad remained unfazed. He simply stood there in silence, letting her unleash her fury as if he were a mute. Avery only stopped when she was exhausted and ran out of things to say.

Throughout the ordeal, Brad didn't make a sound. He stood there like a statue, listening to Avery's insults with a calm expression that revealed he had no intention of fighting back.

Nadine was aware Brad had a bad temper. She was worried that her friend might have gone too far and would end up on the receiving end of his wrath. She hurriedly placed Sean's hand in Avery's and said, "Babe, could you help me take Sean upstairs? It's freezing out here."

Brad's silence was unsettling; he wasn't the type to just take things quietly. Something was definitely brewing beneath that calm façade. Her friend had stood up for her, so she couldn't let her take the brunt of it. After all, Brad had a reputation for being ruthless when it came to revenge.

Avery wanted to keep going, to stand up for Nadine, but when she met her pleading gaze, she decided to back off. Dragging her suitcase with one hand and holding Sean's hand with the other, she walked into the building.

Whenever he thought about all the pain Nadine had endured, he wanted to run to her and say something—anything. But he wasn't someone who could express his feelings or offer support, so all he could do was keep trying to make his presence known in front of her.

His words made Nadine feel uneasy. Her expression instantly turned cold, and she looked at him with disdain, as if he was her sworn enemy.

"What do you mean you've 'changed the way you see me'? I didn't need to know what you think of me, and I certainly didn't want to see you. So, do me a favor and stay out of my life!

"As for whatever 'pain' or 'suffering' you're talking about, that's all in the past now. Everyone needs to look ahead. I'm not one to dwell on the past, and I hope you move on as well. Seriously, don't come looking for me anymore. I don't want to see you. I really, really don't."
