Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 708

Nadine's eyes widened in shock. She had thought about this question countless times but couldn't come up with a clear answer.

After hesitating for a long while, she finally squeezed out a few words. "I don't know…"

There were essentially two options—either continue her marriage with Brad or get a divorce. Personally, she leaned toward divorce. But Nadine didn't want Sean to grow up without a father.

Just then, Nadine's phone rang. "Is this Sean Hamilton's mother? Could you come to school? Your son got into a fight."

Nadine quickly ended the call, threw on her down jacket, and rushed to the school. Sean had always been obedient and sensible. How could he have gotten into a fight?

When she arrived at his classroom, she found Sean standing outside the door, clearly being punished. His face was dirty, and his down jacket was torn, showing white feathers inside. Most jarring was the bruise on his chin.

Next to him stood a little girl who was trying to cheer him up, gently wiping his face.

As soon as Sean saw Nadine, he immediately called out, "Mommy!"

The little girl stood politely next to him, smiled at Nadine, and said, "Hello, Mrs. Hamilton."

In this cold weather, why did the teacher let two kids stand outside? What if they caught a cold? Nadine rushed over and embraced both of them, "Are you cold, sweethearts?"

The teacher gave a bitter smile. "When I saw them, the other child was already hurt. His parents took him to the nurse's office and insisted on compensation. We've been trying to mediate, but they're not letting it go."

Though he spoke tactfully, Nadine understood the implication. It seemed that what might have been a minor scuffle between kids had escalated because the other child was injured. And now, his parents were demanding compensation.

The teacher quickly led Nadine and Sean to the nurse's office. As soon as they entered, a plump, middle-aged woman glared at Nadine. "Are you Sean Hamilton's mother?"

Nadine nodded and was about to speak when the woman launched into a tirade. "Like mother, like son. Look at your seductive face. It's no wonder your child turned out to be no good.

"Your son hit mine so hard he's bleeding. He clearly has no manners at all. Typical of a kid with a father who's never around."
