Brad had just gone through a divorce and was filled with disdain for the marriage, especially after learning that he had been a stand-in for six years. He was beyond livid.
Anyone who dared to mention the name "Nadine" would find themselves on the receiving end of his fury—even his closest friends weren't spared. "Get lost!" he spat, hanging up the phone in a fit of rage. Even through the phone, one could feel the tempest of his emotions.
The 68th floor was filled with a heavy tension that made it hard to breathe. Even Cameron, his assistant, walked into the president's office with his head down, careful not to upset his boss.
Brad and Nadine's divorce had nothing to do with the rest of them. However, Brad was in such a foul mood that no one could soothe him unless Nadine returned. Cameron couldn't do anything other than hope for her swift return.
After leaving the president's office, Cameron discreetly messaged Nadine. "Mrs. Hamilton, are you really going to go through with the divorce? I remember how much you used to love him."
Nadine: "Thank you for everything you've done for me in the past, Mr. Gomez. I don't want to revisit what's behind us. Whether I loved him or not is no longer important. I just want to focus on living my life well going forward."
Cameron: "Mrs. Hamilton, Mr. Hamilton still has feelings for you—I'm sure of it! He threw a huge tantrum after the divorce."
Cameron: "I'm telling you the truth, Mrs. Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton is just too proud to admit how he really feels about you. I'm sure he'll change his mind about the divorce if you talk to him about it."
"How dull. I wanted to rub some salt in his wound, but it looks like that's not going to happen. Oh well, don't hold it against me for not telling you that Sebastian's back. You're the one who didn't pick up my call, after all."
Sebastian, much like Brad, was young, incredibly attractive, and in fantastic shape, boasting a set of abs that made many girls swoon. And, to top it all off, he was filthy rich.
Both of them were rich and handsome. How could one not fall for a tall, muscular, and handsome guy when they appeared in front of them?
