Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 805

This was the first time Nadine stepped out of her room since checking into the hotel.

Sebastian had been listening attentively to the sounds from the room next door. He had hoped to accompany her on a walk when she eventually came out.

But unfortunately, Nadine had remarkable patience. Ever since she checked in, she hadn't left her room once.

If it weren't for the fact that people needed to eat to sustain themselves, Sebastian wouldn't have even caught a glimpse of her.

After finally convincing Nadine to come downstairs for dinner, Sebastian wasn't about to waste such a golden opportunity. He insisted on taking her for a walk, using a perfectly reasonable excuse to get her agreement.

He told her that it wasn't good to lie down or sit immediately after eating since it'd affect her figure. People loved to look good, after all. Sebastian leveraged this universal desire and managed to drag Nadine out on a leisurely stroll.

Noticing she felt cold, Sebastian shrugged off his coat and draped it over her shoulders, refusing to let her return it.

Nadine could only accept it, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Caldwell." Unable to reciprocate Sebastian's affections, she tried her best to reject his kindness.

But despite her continued rejections, Sebastian showed no signs of giving up. Instead, he continued to care for her just as attentively as before. This touched Nadine's heart, even if only a little.

Despite feeling moved, Nadine wasn't ready to fall into another emotional whirlpool so soon. Thus, she refused Sebastian's kindness as much as possible.

For the few things she couldn't refuse, she simply noted them down in her mental ledger as a favor. She'd repay him someday when he needed it.

The night deepened, and the city lights sparkled.

This time, however, Sebastian was determined to confess properly. She still had the right to pursue happiness, marriage, and love even though she'd been divorced and was raising a child.

The night breeze brushed against Nadine, giving her goosebumps. She pulled Sebastian's coat tighter around her shoulders before speaking. "Mr. Caldwell, haven't you heard that everyone's marriage is a mess?

"It's precisely because of that that I don't want to step into that grave again. Now, I'm living alone with Sean. I don't have to worry about household chores or deal with mother-in-law issues. Isn't this a free and easy life?"

When Nadine decided to divorce Brad, she spent sleepless nights talking to her spiritual mentor, Avery. Nadine talked to her about future plans and views on love.

Although love had hurt Nadine deeply, she still believed in it.
