Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 818

It had been at least an hour since Nadine had laid down, and every time she was about to fall asleep, Brad would shift around on the couch. Even though he wasn't loud, she could still hear him. He was doing this on purpose—she was sure of it!

Picking up on the frustration in her tone, Brad smirked. His eyes crinkled as he explained, "The couch is too hard. I can't get used to it."

He, who was used to staying in presidential suites while traveling, had never slept on a couch before. If it weren't for her, he wouldn't have considered sleeping on the couch at all.

Worst yet, instead of feeling bad for her, she was complaining about his tossing and turning. Didn't she know why exactly he was tossing and turning?

After hearing his response, her heart tightened again. It was true that this high and mighty man had never slept on a couch before. She could tell he was complaining, and she knew that it probably was a tight squeeze for a man his size to sleep on that tiny couch.

Mulling it over, she gritted her teeth and said, "Fine, you can sleep on the bed!" If this continued, she wouldn't get a wink of sleep all night. She'd rather let Brad sleep on the bed while she took the couch.

The man on the couch shot up like a spring the moment the words left her mouth. After tossing the blanket aside, he rushed toward the bed. "I knew you still cared about me, Nad. That makes me so happy."

Furious, she pinched the back of her hand to calm herself. Nadine couldn't believe this bastard was pushing his luck again. He was so annoying.

But it was already too late for anything to change. If he went over to carry her back to the bed, they would definitely end up in a huge argument. Grinding his molars, he decided to say nothing for now and just endure it.

Nadine soon drifted off to sleep and had a dream. In her dream, Jack was waving at her, his face lit with a bright smile while pointing to something behind her. She turned around to look behind her, only to find Brad glaring at her. When she turned back to Jack, he was gone.

Nadine hurried after Jack, calling his name over and over. Yet, he was nowhere to be found. Eventually, Brad walked up to her and took her hand.
