Please Give Me Another Chance, Mrs. Hamilton novel Chapter 826

All of a sudden, an idea crossed Evelyn's mind, and her pupils came back to focus in an instant.

Clutching Gigi's hand, she pleaded, "Gigi, please. I'm begging you as your mother. Please help me! All these years, whenever you encountered problems, big or small, I was the one who helped you solve them. Please help me just this once!"

Evelyn's grip on Gigi's arms was so strong that the latter winced in pain, struggling to break free. "Mom, this isn't up to me—it's Dad's orders. I can't help you!"

Evelyn grasped her hand stubbornly, refusing to let go. "No, I'm sure you can help me! All you have to do is get me the key. That's all I'm asking!"

Gigi's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at her mother. After a long, tense silence, she relented. "Fine, I'll try my best. But if I can't get you the key, you can't blame me, okay?"

Everyone else could turn their backs on Evelyn, but not Gigi. Evelyn was her mother, the woman who had raised and loved her for over 20 years.

A few nights later, when everyone was fast asleep, a shadowy figure appeared in the basement of the Hamilton manor. The figure moved stealthily through the dimly lit basement, knowing the layout of the house like the back of their hand.

Moments later, the figure slipped through the manor's front gate and darted toward a public phone booth nearby. With trembling hands, they made a call.

Not long after, a sleek black Range Rover pulled up beside Evelyn. The passenger window rolled down, revealing Lucas, who was casually holding a cigar between his fingers. He glanced at Evelyn, who was shivering by the roadside. "What happened to you, Eve? Get in!"

Evelyn didn't need to be told twice. She practically leaped into the car. "Lucas, that bastard Daniel locked me in the basement and wouldn't let me eat or sleep properly! I despise him!"

Lucas laughed heartily and gave her a playful slap on the butt. "Good! Then, let me love you the way you deserve!" With that, the two tumbled onto the bed, bare skin against bare skin, lost in each other's embrace.

Little did they know that, at that very moment, a crowd of reporters had gathered outside their hotel room. All of a sudden, the door clicked open, and the reporters burst in. Cameras flashed wildly, capturing the two entangled bodies on the bed.

Startled, Evelyn and Lucas scrambled to cover themselves with the sheets. Evelyn, trembling with fear, buried herself in Lucas' arms, hiding her face from the relentless cameras.

Lucas panicked for a moment but quickly regained his composure. Pointing at the reporters, he demanded, "Who the hell let you in here? Which media outlets are you lot from? I'll sue every single one of you! This is my private suite—how dare you barge in here?"

Right then, Daniel walked in, impeccably dressed. He smiled at the couple on the bed. "I'm the one who let them in."
