The journey was supposed to be long.

But Tara Green was so excited after learning the news that she barely rested.

She kept checking on her two precious little ones, as if afraid they might be snatched away if she fell asleep.

She managed to stay awake all the way to the Middle East, until it was time to get off the plane.

After landing, First and Second seemed well–rested and acted as if nothing had happened.

They followed Hugo Hodges until he got into a car and drove off. First stood there, deep in thought.

Tara asked, “Aren’t we following him?”

“If we get too close, we’ll be spotted,” First replied.

“Can you find Scarlett’s location?” Second asked, looking at First.

First shook his head. “Scarlett planned her departure well. She wouldn’t let us find her.”

“So what do we do?”

First gestured in the direction the car had disappeared. “I can try to track Dad’s location. If that doesn’t work, we still have

that car,” he said, a glint in his eyes that seemed beyond his years.

Second immediately understood what he meant and nodded.

Then Tara’s voice came from above, “So, where to now?”

First thought for a moment, “Let’s find a hotel, take a shower, and grab something to eat first.”

Tara raised an eyebrow, “Good idea.” She desperately needed a shower and some rest.

With that in mind, she hailed a cab.

First rolled his eyes at her.

After Tara let go of him, she whispered, “Don’t say those words outside again.”

“It is that serious!” Tara insisted. “Especially here in the Middle East, where people from all over come to carry out
