"I'm about to sleep."
Anthea's phone screen lit and showed Adam's message.
Anthea did not send a message. Instead, she called Adam directly. When she heard Adam's deep and attractive voice, she felt relaxed, "Anthea, why haven't you slept yet?"
Adam went downstairs again and talked with Meadow for a while. When he went to the room, he saw that the lights in Anthea's room were off and thought she had already fallen asleep. However, when he came out of the bathroom, he received her message and her call.
Anthea said cutely, "I can't sleep. I can't sleep!"
Adam put down the towel and sat on the head of the bed, saying, "Count sheep. Count to a hundred, and you will fall asleep soon."
He didn't sleep in Wilson's room but the guest room next to Anthea's.
In that way, there was only a wall between Adam and Anthea. They would be close to each other. So she would not be afraid at night.
"I counted. But it didn't work!" Anthea grumbled.
Adam chuckled. Just as he was about to continue speaking, he suddenly heard her call out his name.
'Adam..."
For a moment, Adam was stunned.
Anthea's voice didn't seem to be from the call but very near.
Then, Adam heard a sudden click.
Adam raised his head and was sure that Anthea's voice was not from the call. There was a corridor light streaming in through the crack in the door. And Anthea sneaked in with a cell phone in one hand and a pair of slippers in the other.
Her feet stepped on the floor, looking tender and lovely.
Adam smiled happily and put down the phone.
Anthea blinked at Adam shyly and closed the door. Barefooted, she rushed to the bed and threw herself into his arms.
Adam stretched out his arms and hugged her tightly.
Like a kitten, Anthea rubbed her head against Adam's chest and said coquettishly, "It's my first time to stay in your home. I'm nervous. I can't sleep without you!"
Adam carried Anthea to the bed and let her lie in his
arms.
In the room, an orange bedside lamp was on, and they were whispering to each other.
"So it means I have officially met your parents?" Anthea asked shyly.
"Yes," Adam nodded.
When Meadow arranged for Adam a blind date, Adam had an impulse to take Anthea home directly.
Anthea was worried, "Did I behave well tonight?"
"Yeah, very well," Adam smiled.
"Your mom is kind and gentle. When she spoke to me, her voice was so sweet!"
Adam said, "When I was downstairs, she asked me what you liked to eat so that she could order the kitchen staff."
After Anthea heard that, she brightened her eyes.
But soon, she felt a bit upset, bit her lips, and said, "But your dad looks dignified and difficult to get along with. Does he not like me?"
It seemed that Bellamy had only said one word from beginning to end since Anthea came.
After Meadow asked about Anthea's situation, Bellamy did not say anything more. He kept reading the newspaper with a serious face. Only when Anthea went upstairs did he give her another look.
Anthea liked Adam. Her heart was full of him, and she wanted to be approved by his parents.
Under the light, she looked depressed, as if she took a hit.
After that, Anthea quickly walked away.
In the bedroom on the third floor, Meadow, who had just got up and washed up, heard the sound of the door opening. She looked back and saw Bellamy coming in with a cold face.
She asked, "Why looking so cold? What's the matter?"
Bellamy recounted what he saw to Meadow a serious expression.
"Really?" Meadow was surprised and put down the skincare product in her hands.
"I saw her coming out of Adam's room with my own eyes!" Bellamy was so angry that he pulled a long face, "Ask Adam to come to my study room. I'll criticize him and teach him a lesson. He is a soldier!"
Meadow became unhappy and directly disagreed, "What's wrong with soldiers? Soldiers are human beings and have feelings and desires! Don't take it seriously. They are both adults. So what if they sleep in the same room? Everything has changed now. Many young people live together on the second day after they fall in love. It's normal. You don't understand! You are an old fogey!"
"Meadow, can't you be reasonable?" Bellamy slammed on the table.
Meadow argued with Bellamy, "Can reason bring you a daughter-in-law and grandchildren?"
Bellamy was angry and speechless.
One could never argue with a woman!
However, although Bellamy was gloomy, he also felt tempted to have grandchildren.
Bellamy had three sons. Adam became a soldier, and Wilson became a businessman. They were both dedicated to their careers and had no interest in getting married. As for Simon, he was the most rebellious one on whom Bellamy didn't put any hope. "When will I become a grandfather?" Bellamy wondered.
Bellamy's old comrades, who were of the same age as him, had all become grandfathers. Every time they had a gathering, they showed off!
Bellamy's eyes filled with envy.
"Anthea looks indeed beautiful. If she has babies with Adam, they will be lovely..." Bellamy thought to himself.
Bellamy quickly stopped his ridiculous thoughts but couldn't stop longing.
"Cute and happy grandchildren..." Bellamy mumbled in his heart.

Hate deception and Abby and Dylan take the cake ,ugh...
NO!!! Tina belongs with Wilson…. Let Dylan and Abby get together...
Wow, once again the villain messes up the true love, Abby needs to go back abroad. And Tina’s true identity as the daughter of Bill Ambrey needs to be exposed! Then the families can “convenience marry” !! Abby is a witch....
Too bad Wilson can’t figure out that his and Tina’s ex’s and his cousin Desmond are conniving creeps!...
Anthea is so stupid, lying and leaving the man who loves her more than life itself. 🤬...
She deserves to be unhappy, being with someone she doesn’t love because of resentment for the exact thing she is doing, hopefully she ends up with no one. Calvin is a wimp and doesn’t love her, just wants a wife to please his family....
So the same basic story as Simon and Addy but stupid Emily is going to marry him! What a hypocrite! Ugh...
Emily gets more stupid every chapter, when did she pickup Calvin as a fiancé!!?? This story line is awful….very sad to do to Simon what she “thought” he had done but didn’t. She is truly a dumb woman. Simon never loved or really even cared for Addy….what the hell is she doing with someone she doesn’t even know or like/love. Awful 😢...
Emily is a fool, don’t let go of the man who truly loves you. Let go of the past, of which he did nothing but help someone who saved his life, and be happy with him… he is your soulmate....
Nothing like cutting off your nose to spite your face Emily. Just stupid! Ugh 😩...
