Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 1001

The room exploded with shouts and laughter all at once.

“Big! It hit big!”

“I’m not seeing things, right? It finally paid out big, hahaha!”

“Hell yes! I finally got it right on my last bet!”

“Kid, you’re something else!”

Suddenly, everyone was showering Sweet Potato with praise. They were in awe of his luck, convinced he could turn anything he touched into gold. He was the kind of person people wanted to stick close to.

Sweet Potato coughed a little, looking embarrassed. “Just lucky, that’s all. Pure coincidence.”

He glanced over at Lydia, feeling a bit guilty. The truth was, it was all thanks to her. If Lydia hadn’t secretly messed with the dealer’s controller, the game would have gone down exactly like before, another small win for the house.

The look on the dealer’s face was priceless. He stared at the dice in total shock, like his whole world had just come crashing down.

The dealer was rattled. He’d set the dice result in advance, so how did it end up coming out big? His boss had made it clear. If the crowd bet big, it had to come out small. If they bet small, it had to come out big. The rule was simple: the house never loses.

When Sweet Potato first sat down, he’d bet small because he already knew how the game worked. The dealer barely had to do anything, the dice would always land on small and take everyone’s money.

But this time, with most people betting on big, the dealer had made sure the dice were set to small. Yet somehow, it still landed big. His first thought was someone had tampered with his controller, and the only person who could have pulled that off was that goofy looking Sweet Potato.

He glared at Sweet Potato, who was grinning like an idiot, and felt his suspicion harden. He’d thought this guy was just here to have a little fun, but now it looked like he was here to mess things up.

Of course, the dealer wasn’t going to back down that easily. He’d been around the block a few times. Now that he’d spotted a problem, he was determined to fix it. No way was he going to let some kid outsmart him. He had plenty of tricks left.

Once the cheers died down, everyone turned to Sweet Potato again, eager to see what he’d do next.

Lydia calmly pushed all her chips onto “big.” Sweet Potato flashed a big, silly grin. “We’ve had a run of smalls so far. Feels like it’s bound to stay big now. I’m going with big too!”

Nobody hesitated this time. The whole crowd piled their bets onto big.

The dealer’s eyes narrowed. He looked ready to go all out.
