Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 219

“Alright, I get it.”

Sandy was terrified that Jenson and Milana were playing her, just to save their son. She refused to do anything until she saw Miracle Hands in person.

Milana and Jenson were a mess. They kept calling Mrs. Smith, but she only told them to relax, then never replied again.

Time kept ticking by, and still, no sign of Miracle Hands. What if the big-shot doctor had changed their mind and wasn’t coming?

Sandy sat at the edge of her hospital bed, watching Jenson and Milana pace around the room with anxious faces. She clasped her hands together so tightly her knuckles turned white. She didn’t show any emotion.

Honestly, she was hoping Miracle Hands wouldn’t show up. No doctor, no surgery. She could keep her kidney and wouldn’t have to go through with all of this.

Just as everyone was lost in their own worries, someone finally knocked at the door.

Jenson and Milana both looked up, but their faces immediately turned stiff. Milana’s eyes narrowed with irritation. “Lydia? Why are you here?”

Jenson remembered the bet between Lydia and Milana. He jumped in right away. “Lydia, we don’t have time for whatever this is. We really don’t want you here. Please just leave and stop causing trouble.”

Lydia raised her brow. “Didn’t you askeme to do surgery on your kids?”

Milana thought Lydia was still hung up on that ridiculous bet. She let out a mocking laugh. “You actually think you’d do it? Lydia, who do you think you are, some genius surgeon? My son and daughter need a life-saving operation. Just go, before you embarrass yourself even more.”

Dr. Hady, who’d come in behind Lydia, stepped forward. “Mr. Smith, Mrs. Smith, your son’s surgery has to be done by Lydia.”

Sandy immediately jumped up from the bed, frowning. “Miracle Hands is supposed to do the operation. Who is she supposed to be?”
