“My friend’s in the hospital because of you. You kicked her and hurt her back. She’s still lying in bed. You need to go apologize, or just wait for the police to show up at your door!” Sierra said, practically vibrating with righteous fury.

Lydia let out a short laugh. “I’ll be waiting.”

She walked right past Sierra and didn’t look back.

Sierra was stunned. She wasn’t making it up. Her friend Louise really was in the hospital. Louise’s family had already hired a lawyer. Yesterday, the Stein family sent people to wait outside this building all afternoon, hoping to catch Lydia, but she never showed.
