Ready to Rule: The Real Heiress Strikes Back novel Chapter 393

“Ms. Norwood, I’m just… still a little nervous. I’m worried I won’t do my best.” Elisha’s voice was soft and gentle, matching her shy nature. She had this unique design style that always made people stop and take notice.

Gavin, on the other hand, was the picture of confidence. He was handsome, upbeat, and had a real gift for women’s fashion. He just seemed to get what women wanted and had a huge following back home. Lately, he was all anyone talked about.

“I feel okay, but I have a hunch we’re going to face some really strong competitors today,” he admitted.

Lydia nodded, reassuring them. “This is an international competition. Everyone here is talented. Don’t stress yourselves out. Just give it everything you’ve got.”

“Yes, Ms. Norwood. We’ll do our best,” they promised.

When it was time to leave for the big event, Lydia made sure to put on a black mask and a baseball cap. There were bound to be familiar faces at the venue, and she’d rather not draw attention. Staying low-key was the plan.

On the way there, Jenny clung to Lydia’s arm, her excitement and nerves showing. “I can’t believe I’m about to meet my idol. I’m so nervous.” For Jenny, her idols were Lydia and Miss L.

Gavin laughed. “No matter how we do today, just seeing the legendary Miss L in person makes it all worth it.”

Jenny’s eyes sparkled. “If I can, I want to get her autograph. Maybe even a selfie together. That would be a dream come true.”

Lydia glanced at her, a little amused. “Let’s see how you feel when you actually meet her.”

Jenny’s excitement faded a little as she sighed. “You’re right. Who am I kidding? I’m just a nobody. Miss L probably won’t even notice me.”

The competition venue was as impressive as everyone said. Just walking up to the entrance, they saw contestants and fans from all over the world coming and going, the place buzzing with energy.

Lydia led everyone inside with confidence, like she’d been here a hundred times before. She didn’t need to stop and ask for directions, not even once.

“Your seats are over there. Just find your number and sit,” Lydia pointed out.

Jenny looked up at her. “Ms. Norwood, you’re not sitting with us?”

“You’re the contestants. You have your own area. I’ll be somewhere else.”

“Oh, okay.”

Gavin gave Lydia a bright smile. “Ms. Norwood, the competition’s about to start. Any last words of wisdom?”

Lydia smiled. “I believe in you. Go on.”
