Turns out Sierra really was just a copycat. She’d been jealous all along and tried to ruin Miss L’s name out of spite. Honestly, it was so low of her, using everyone around her like pieces on a chessboard.
Jenny felt a rush of gratitude. She never expected Lydia to actually dig up the evidence. How was she ever supposed to thank her? Ms. Norwood had looked out for her better than anyone. If Ms. Norwood were a guy, Jenny would have sworn on the spot to marry her, no questions asked.
Sierra looked completely defeated as security led her away. She was blacklisted for good, her name wiped from the international scene. Even back home, she’d be notorious in the fashion world. Her reputation was done for.
Blake could hardly believe it. His little sister had wrapped things up so neatly on her own, she never even gave him the chance to step in. It was a shame the show was still going, as all he wanted was to go over and finally reunite with her.
With Sierra out, the contest moved forward.
Jenny and Evalina’s designs stood out by miles. The top ten were set for the finals. Evalina, Luna, Amelia, Jenny, Marissa—all made the cut. Jenny held first place, Evalina second, and Marissa came in third.
All through the competition, Marissa had been a steady force. Her work was elegant and bold, with a signature style that powerful women loved. Her tailoring was flawless and refined. Third place was more than deserved.
Evalina had come here determined to win, but every single time, Jenny outdid her. It was driving her crazy. If only she hadn’t argued with Miss L at the start. If she’d won Lydia’s support, she would have had first place in the bag.
For the final round, each designer had to wear their own creation on the runway, styling themselves from head to toe. Makeup, accessories, the whole look—it was all part of the score. Each took a turn on the catwalk, and the audience and judges would vote for the top three.
