“At first, Sandy just wanted the old lady to help her get an apprenticeship with Miracle Hands. But she said no. When Sandy was ready to give up, I kept pushing her, told her to ask every day. If the floor got wet, it’d be really easy for her to fall. Sure enough, she felt bad for Sandy and let her in. Sandy was soaked, tracked water everywhere, and Mrs. Smith slipped on the stairs. Sandy’s a good person. She called for help right away. If she’d wanted to hurt her, she could have just left her there.”
