Mr. Mo?
This title is rather fresh.
Mo Siyu watched as the person hurried towards her, as if certain he would rescue her.
"It's really great." Tang Yue quickly hid behind Mo Siyu, panting heavily, her cheeks flushed. At this moment, she hadn't realized that her way of addressing him had given something away.
"How dare a few guys bully this young lady?" Mo Siyu raised his voice a few notches. Without waiting for those rowdy boys to speak up, Mo Siyu had already taken action.
If it hadn't been for him taking a shortcut home by chance, who knows what would have happened to Tang Yue.
Mo Siyu was extremely precise in his moves, inflicting intense pain but not threatening their lives.
"It hurts to death."
"Spare us, we just wanted to snatch some money to spend."
"Exactly, my hand is about to break."
The rowdy boys no longer had their previous bravado and were now lying on the ground, wailing loudly.
"If you're capable of working, then do it honestly and don't think about extorting others," warned Mo Siyu coldly. "If there's a next time, I won't be polite."
"Yes, yes, we won't dare to do it again."
"We truly won't dare again."
Mo Siyu gave them a cold look and said, "Scram."
"Yes, we are scramming right now."
Those guys scrambled away incredibly fast, disappearing in an instant.
"So awesome." Tang Yue was virtually stunned; there were four of them, but in front of Mo Siyu, they were just like children.
His skills were really impressive.
Tang Yue was muttering in her heart, and when a dark shadow appeared before her eyes, his tall figure stood in front of her. She instinctively looked up to see his resolute chin and handsome features, his eyes dark and bright, carrying a silent majesty.
Tang Yue couldn't help but step back, instinctively straightening her back and said, "Thank you."
"Not calling me Mr. Mo anymore?" Mo Siyu teased.
"..."
Tang Yue belatedly realized what she had let slip, her eyes flicking around, and quickly responded, "Little uncle said you were driving, but as your business grows bigger, isn't it appropriate to address you as Mr. Mo?"
"I've heard that business people are often referred to as 'Mr. this' and 'Mr. that,'" Tang Yue added.
Tang Yue's eyes were bright, her gentle smile revealing the dimples on her cheeks.
"You seemed to recognize me the first time you saw me," Mo Siyu observed Tang Yue with a penetrating gaze.
In Qianjin Village, he had seen her twice; the first time was by the riverbank, she was in the river. When she saw him, there was shock, disbelief, gratitude, and joy in her eyes, as if she had known him before.
The second time he saw her, she was about to fall from a high place.
The emotions in her eyes told him this wasn't their first encounter.
"How could that be." Tang Yue instinctively denied it, feeling guilty. She cast her eyes downward, afraid Mo Siyu would discover something.
"Then why don't you dare to look at me?" Mo Siyu deliberately said so.
Tang Yue instinctively lifted her head, as if to prove something.
Mo Siyu's eyes deepened, changing the subject, "By the way, I am classmates with Tang Mingli, so you can also call me little uncle. You must not call me Mr. Mo again."
Xu Zhenzhen asked, "What does your uncle do in the county?"
"He works as a waiter at a restaurant," Tang Yue mentioned casually.
"A waiter?" Xu Zhenzhen looked down on such a job; put nicely, he was a waiter, but bluntly, wasn't he just a plate-carrier?
Xu Zhenzhen lost interest and turned to chat with her new friend, Tian Tian.
With the library not yet open since school had just started, Tang Yue could only go back to the dorm. After taking a shower, she lay in bed thinking of home, her parents, Xiao Jun, and her future.
Elsewhere.
Tang Mingli took Tang Yue's words to heart and started to inquire discreetly. But the more he inquired, the more alarmed he became.
Previously, he thought Wang Gui had taken a liking to him, considering it a good thing and was trying to give him a hand. He kept it to himself and didn't share the news, but upon inquiring, he felt a chill run down his spine.
The Mo Family.
Not far from the back gate of No. 1 Middle School, Mrs. Mo hurried to see Mo Siyu returning and said, "Siyu, you hardly ever have a few days off; how do you like the girl I've set you up with?"
"Mom, I don't want to get married right now," Mo Siyu dismissed casually.
Mrs. Mo instantly disagreed, "You're already twenty-two, at your age, people have kids who can even fetch soy sauce. You're still not married; when can I have a grandson?"
Mrs. Mo had a gentle appearance, and much of Mo Siyu's good looks were inherited from her.
"Mom, I'm on the road driving most of the year, rarely coming home. If I really brought someone home, wouldn't that be a misfortune for her?" Mo Siyu countered. Every year during the holidays, his mother would always try to set him up on blind dates, but he didn't want to get married.
"How can you say it would be misfortune for her?" Mrs. Mo disagreed, "Don't you often come back once for ten days or half a month?"
"..." Mo Siyu went out jogging to exercise, his ears constantly filled with Mrs. Mo's nagging about getting married, as if they would develop calluses.
Currently, all he wanted was to earn more money to give his mother a better life, not to find a wife. Besides, he didn't like women; they were too delicate, getting all tongue-tied around him.
Suddenly, the image of Tang Yue's clear and radiant face flashed across his mind; she was the first one who wasn't afraid of him.
