Rebirth in 1986: Unforgettable Regrets novel Chapter 223

Chapter 223: Chapter 223: Fight (Late Night)

Inside the house, the previously harmonious scene was abruptly interrupted.

"What are you doing, you family ruiner, what if you broke the door?" The mother-in-law said impatiently, not hiding her disdain for Tang Yue at all, adding, "What if you scared our Haohao?"

I never used to think much of these words.

Xu Zhenzhen’s son, Xu Hao, often stayed at the Wu Family, and she liked him very much and regarded him as her godson. Xu Hao was like a half-grandson in the Wu Family, and the mother-in-law liked him very much.

In the past, she would feel guilty because of the mother-in-law’s behavior, as she had no children of her own, and the mother-in-law liked even her friend’s child so much, making her feel more indebted to the Wu Family for not bearing a child.

But now, Tang Yue realized how foolish she had been.

She sneered, "Xu Hao is your real grandson, so that’s why you treat him differently, right?" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

The mother-in-law’s face changed, and then she just let everything out, since she was exposed anyway. She no longer held back, saying, "That’s right, Zhenzhen gave birth to our eldest grandson for the Wu Family. If we don’t cherish him, who will? Who asked you to be a hen that can’t lay eggs?"

Usually, Tang Yue would find this embarrassing, but at this moment, she was relieved that she hadn’t had children with such scum like Wu Xinming.

"Xu Zhenzhen not only ruined our marriage but also had Xu Hao. Just based on these two points, I could go to court and sue you."

Tang Yue took a deep breath, and straightforwardly said, "Wu Xinming, we’re getting divorced, but the new house and this old house, they both belong to me. The savings at home are mine too. You can take your mom, that woman, and Xu Hao, and get lost!"

She didn’t want to involve Xu Hao, after all, he was still a child, but why should he deserve to enjoy her generosity when he clearly knew everything?

After his initial shock, Wu Xinming immediately yelled loudly, "Impossible, these two houses are mine. Yes, we will get a divorce, but it’s you who should be kicked out."

After tearing off the masks, the tenderness which once comforted her and she had cherished, vanished in an instant like bubbles, leaving only an ugly reality.

"Wu Xinming, you’ve deceived me for over a decade, making me slave away for the Wu Family. Do you really think I’m a fool?" Tang Yue barely finished when,

Xu Zhenzhen sneered on the side, too lazy to play the sisterly affection drama with Tang Yue anymore, saying, "Tang Yue, aren’t you just a fool? Haohao, let’s go back to our room."

"Yes, I, Tang Yue, am a fool, but you are shameless. Every time I accompanied you to the hospital with Xu Hao, were you not mocking me behind my back?" Tang Yue said this very emotionally.

She took a deep breath and said, "Xu Zhenzhen, what goes around comes around, you will face your karma sooner or later."

"Tang Yue, you are the shameless one." Xu Zhenzhen cursed loudly, stepping forward and grabbing Tang Yue, apparently wanting to argue with her.

Tang Yue didn’t care much, she grabbed Xu Zhenzhen’s hair in a tug. For years, her kindness was devoured by this heartless beast, she might as well have fed a dog.

But, if she didn’t let out this pent-up resentment, she wouldn’t feel relieved.

Before long, Tang Yue and Xu Zhenzhen were fighting. Tang Yue, always active and working, was physically much stronger than the delicate Xu Zhenzhen.

Tang Yue showed no mercy, pinching and hitting, or pulling on Xu Zhenzhen’s treasured long hair.

"Ah..."

Tang Yue felt a shock, as she was busy when they went to get the property certificates, and it was Wu Xinming who handled it.

"That’s impossible." Tang Yue said in disbelief: "I saw it, both our names were on it."

Wu Xinming sneered: "You’re such a fool, those were fake; the property certificates only have my name on them."

Seeing her disbelief, Wu Xinming went back to his room and brought back two property certificates, which indeed listed only Wu Xinming’s name.

Tang Yue was going crazy.

Wu Xinming swiftly took back the property certificates and hid them, not giving Tang Yue any chance.

Eventually, Tang Yue was so infuriated that she fainted. When she reappeared on the hospital bed, Wu Xinming righteously declared that he would not pay for the medical expenses and that he was immediately divorcing Tang Yue.

"Doctor, this woman will soon have nothing to do with me at all, we are getting divorced right away."

"Tomorrow, no, I will go and file the divorce papers right now."

Wu Xinming was eager to grab Tang Yue and proceed with the paperwork.

During this quarrel, Tang Yue opened her eyes in fear, tears welled up in the corners, not for Wu Xinming, but for her own foolishness.

Outside it was still dark, and the room was silent. Tang Yue sat up from bed, wiped the moisture from the corner of her eyes, put on her coat, and sat at the desk. On the desk, the pale pink watch quietly lay there.
