"Tingyu." Tang Yue stepped forward, only then noticing that many people were sizing her up from behind Zhang Tingyu.
Zhang Tingyu was dressed in a floral maxi dress, her hair flowing freely; the dress fluttering, which matched her ethereal and beautiful aura.
It seems the students of the Jinghua Law School are in luck.
"Whereâs Minmin?" Tang Yue was curious; normally, the cousins Zhang Tingyu and Zhang Minmin were inseparable.
"Ahem." Zhang Tingyu cleared her throat and said, "Sheâs busy right now."
"Why?" Tang Yue asked curiously. Suddenly, she thought of something and asked, "Which school did Minmin choose?"
"Just a normal arts school, she... secretly went to become an actress," Zhang Tingyu said, reminding herself of the time when Zhang Minmin chose that school and her aunt and uncle nearly kicked her out.
With Zhang Minminâs grades, getting into a regular university was no problem, but she stubbornly chose an arts school.
Arts schools are chosen either by students with artistic talent or those with less impressive academic performance who find entering a university challenging.
Zhang Minminâs exam scores definitely qualified her for a better university, but she was adamant. This infuriated her parents so much that they didnât even see her off to Jing City.
Zhang Minmin was also stubborn, dead set on attending that school. So, once she arrived in Jing City, she immediately started looking for acting opportunities.
Indeed, Zhang Minmin was lucky and found a chance, though it was just to play a maid. But, with determination in her heart, she wanted to prove herself to her parents.
"Minmin really is..." Tang Yue sighed, "Sheâs always liked this industry, and now sheâs even more determined to get into it. With her external appearance and keen understanding, sheâs not bad at all."
"Tingyu, donât worry too much. Who knows, Minmin might really become a big star someday," Tang Yue said reassuringly, not merely making idle talk as Zhang Minmin was quite good-looking. Although she hasnât formally studied acting, her perceptiveness during her ad shoots made Tang Yue believe that Zhang Minmin really could make it.
"Iâm not worried at all."
Zhang Tingyu smiled and said, "Actually, I really support her. Chasing her own dreams, not to mention myself, Iâm also pursuing my own."
Initially, her parents disagreed with her studying law, thinking why a girl would need to study law.
But Zhang Tingyu was very determined.
"People always need to have dreams." When Tang Yue talked about dreams, her eyes seemed to sparkle. She too had dreams, wanting everyone to recognize and love the clothes she designed.
Tang Yue and Zhang Tingyu hadnât met for a long time, and there was endless conversation between them. Zhang Tingyu asked, "Xiao Yue, where are you staying?"
"Bailutong Team." Tang Yue thought for a moment, deciding not to hide it from Zhang Tingyu, and mentioned that she was already engaged.
Since she considered Zhang Tingyu a friend, there were some things she shouldnât keep hiding.
Zhang Tingyuâs eyes widened, staring at Tang Yue in disbelief, "Xiao Yue, did you say youâre engaged? And now, living at the team?"
"Uh-huh." Tang Yue nodded.
Zhang Tingyu took a thorough look at Tang Yue, left and right, still finding it unbelievable.
"How old is he?" Zhang Tingyu asked.
âPfftâ
Zhang Tingyu couldnât help but burst into laughter and said, "Xiao Yue, so in your eyes, college is just for dating?"
"Dating and studying can go hand in hand," Tang Yue answered earnestly.
That wasnât actually wrong; in the future, going to college and dating, although not exactly the same, would pretty much be close. If one didnât date in college, wouldnât that make the college experience incomplete?
"Alright, alright, I canât argue with you," Zhang Tingyu simply gave up on debating this with Tang Yue.
She asked, "Xiao Yue, where are you staying for college? In the dormitory? You surely canât be staying with the team, right?"
Zhang Tingyu proposed, "My parents bought a house nearby for me, how about it, do you want to live together? Continue being roommates?"
"Wow," Tang Yue exclaimed, "Tingyu, your parents really spoil you, buying a house nearby for college."
"Uncle Tang and Aunt Tang treat you like a treasure too, who elseâs parents would deliver meals throughout the entire Sophomore and Junior years of high school rain or shine?" Zhang Tingyu countered.
Occasionally bringing a meal to their daughter or son is something Zhang Tingyu had seen a lot.
But like Uncle Tang and Aunt Tang, who delivered meals for four semesters, that was very rare.
That also caused Zhang Tingyu to gain quite some weight, and moreover, the relationship between the Zhang and Tang families became much closer because of this.
"My parents really are amazing," Tang Yue said with a joyful smile, her mom is dear to her, naturally, sheâs kind, and her stepfather Tang Zhengde, even biological fathers of others donât compare to her stepdad.
