Rebirth in 1986: Unforgettable Regrets novel Chapter 500

Let's not even talk about whether there has been some kind of misunderstanding; even when it comes to job referrals, there's no guarantee of a hundred percent success rate. Where's the logic in blaming Xiao Yue and berating her like Ruan Xiuxiu did when a job referral doesn't work out?

Xiao Yue is good in every aspect, except that her temperament is too soft.

Mo Xiaolin thought this as she sized up Ruan Xiuxiu and said, "When it comes to job referrals, whether they succeed or fail, should you really blame Xiao Yue for a bad introduction?"

"Who are you?" Ruan Xiuxiu looked at Mo Xiaolin.

Mo Xiaolin was dressed in casual attire, appearing particularly young. Though there were some wrinkles on her face, her charisma made up for them. Her mere presence made Ruan Xiuxiu feel somewhat inferior.

"I am Mo Siyu's mother, Xiao Yue's mother-in-law." The moment Mo Xiaolin spoke, everyone exclaimed in surprise.

Mo Siyu's background wasn't anything special. Besides his fiancée Tang Yue, none of his relatives had come by, so when Mo Xiaolin appeared, everyone was shocked.

It turned out that not only was Mo Siyu's fiancée beautiful, but his mother was also very attractive and had an especially elegant demeanor.

This mother's attire and dressing looked great, no wonder she had a handsome son like Mo Siyu.

"Sister-in-law Han, my mother is right. Regardless of whether there's been a misunderstanding, if I introduce you to a job and it doesn't work out, should you blame me? Like this, who would dare to refer you for work in the future?" Tang Yue didn't like Ruan Xiuxiu at all and had merely offered a casual response that day.

The factory manager certainly would not refuse Ruan Xiuxiu as a doll maker without any reason. So many of the sisters-in-law had done it, why would everyone be accepted but not Ruan Xiuxiu?

"Moreover, if everyone else can do it, why doesn't the factory manager want you to do it? No one else paid a deposit, so why were you asked to?" Tang Yue's gaze flickered as she asked, "Sister-in-law Han, you didn't go with Sister-in-law Liu and the others, did you?"

Sister-in-law Liu referred to the sisters-in-law led by Jiang Lan who were doll makers.

Ruan Xiuxiu felt guilty when this topic came up; she was too smart for her own good. She always felt that Tang Yue must have made money out of it, and when she went to the doll factory, she deliberately did not reveal her relationship with the truck team, thinking she might earn a little extra. To her surprise, the factory manager directly asked her for a deposit, and the price offered for the dolls was also less than what Jiang Lan and the others were paid.

Ruan Xiuxiu naturally didn't want to pay and quickly revealed that she was part of the truck team. However, the factory manager didn't think she was honest and thus had a poor impression of her.

The factory manager had her go to the workshop to try making dolls along with everyone, which all the sisters-in-law did, including Jiang Lan who had been at the factory for two days.

But once Ruan Xiuxiu sat down, she ran into trouble immediately. In her eagerness to finish quickly, her dolls were made sloppily. The factory manager said it was unacceptable and had Ruan Xiuxiu redo it several times. Irritated by the perceived harassment from the factory manager, Ruan Xiuxiu left.

"Sister-in-law Liu, do you have the factory manager's phone number?" Tang Yue inquired.

Jiang Lan volunteered eagerly, "I do."

"Then I'm going to make a call." Tang Yue went to make the call right away and communicated with the factory manager, who said he would come over.

Ruan Xiuxiu felt a little guilty, but Jiang Lan and the others wouldn't let Ruan Xiuxiu leave, so they all waited at the doorway. Ruan Xiuxiu, surrounded by everyone, couldn't leave and her facial expression was less than pleasant.

When Jiang Lan and the others heard that Mo Xiaolin had specially come from Jiang City, they all chatted incessantly about household affairs.

When they learned that Mo Xiaolin was a music teacher, their eyes showed a few more shades of envy.

Mo Xiaolin was adept at socializing; she was friendly and approachable, and even though she had just arrived, she was already familiar with these sisters-in-law.

"Ruan Xiuxiu, if you don't want to do the work, why do you insist on dragging Xiao Yue into it?" One of the sisters-in-law said after hearing what the factory manager had said, immediately confronting Ruan Xiuxiu now understanding the situation. The latest_epɪ_sodes are on_the n0velfire.net

"It was this young lady who paid the deposit for you, because there were many of you, she paid a US$ 100 deposit," the factory manager said, his words like a boulder smashing into a calm lake.

Looking at the shocked faces, the factory manager continued, "Also, she didn't make a single cent from it. I allowed you to earn an additional cent per doll because you are all from the transport team and life isn't easy for you."

"Xiao Yue." Jiang Lan wasn't aware of all these details.

Tang Yue cleared her throat and said, "Actually, I just thought it was a good job, and moreover, as long as you all diligently make the dolls, the deposit can be refunded in the future."

"Xiao Yue, this money…" Jiang Lan and the others were moved. If it weren't for the deposit, perhaps the factory manager wouldn't have given them so many dolls to work on, right?

Mo Xiaolin looked at Tang Yue with admiration. She knew that her Xiao Yue was the best and had such a pure heart.

As for Ruan Xiuxiu, losing face, she quietly slipped away.

The factory manager specially came over to explain and also took away the dolls they had made. He added, "You all did the doll work very diligently. Once my doll business improves, I'll raise your pay."

"Great, we will certainly do our best."

Everyone said unanimously; making dolls and earning money while working at home was such a good deal that they were grateful enough as it is, not daring to even think about a raise.

After seeing the factory manager off, Jiang Lan and the others expressed their gratitude to Tang Yue, full of enthusiasm.
