"You heard it right, it’s twins. Congratulations." The doctor said with a beaming smile. Being pregnant with twins is truly a joyful event, so the doctor had seen many people like Tang Yue who were shocked.
Tang Yue instinctively looked up at Si Yu; she honestly never thought there would be two children.
Si Yu held her hand, the joy in his eyes overflowed. He suppressed the joy in his heart and asked, "Doctor, how are the babies? And how is my wife? Will it be more tiring carrying two?"
The usually smart Si Yu lost his intellect upon being hit by the immense joy...
"It’s tough carrying even one child, and your wife has two in her belly, so it will definitely be more demanding." The doctor stated with certainty; carrying twins means the belly is bigger than others, especially in the later stages, and generally, they aren’t carried to full term.
However, the benefits are also obvious. With the current family planning, having two at once means not having to worry about a second child. Having twins is a blessing others can envy but can’t attain.
"But you don’t need to worry too much, both children look very healthy and are growing well."
"Since it’s twins, you need to keep up with nutrition as well."
The doctor then talked about many things to be attentive to when carrying twins.
After leaving the doctor’s office, Tang Yue and Si Yu exchanged smiles. Tang Yue gently placed her hand on her rounded belly, and the thought of two adorable children inside softened her heart. She said, "It’s so wonderful, we’re about to have two children."
"But the doctor said it’d be very tiring; I’d rather have just one." Si Yu looked at her with worry, and after the initial joy faded, his happiness turned completely into concern.
"A bit of hardship is no problem. With two children, aren’t you happy?" Tang Yue looked up into his worried eyes, squeezed his hand playfully, and said, "I know you’re worried about me, but the children and I will definitely be safe and sound, so you just focus on earning the milk money."
"Happy." Si Yu nodded and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll work hard enough to feed the children milk."
The couple sat on a bench downstairs basking in the sun, sharing joyful words.
"Sun Qing and her family are also in this hospital’s inpatient department. Since we’re here, let’s go see them." Tang Yue suggested.
Si Yu’s eyes fell on Tang Yue’s belly. Tang Yue pursed her lips and said, "I’m really good right now, besides, with my clothes today, you can’t really tell I’m pregnant unless you look closely."
"Si Yu, Sun Qing’s sister nearly didn’t make it. Since we’re at the hospital, both publicly and privately, sentimentally and rationally, we should pay a visit." Tang Yue tugged at his shirt, looking at him imploringly, "Sun Qing’s sister used to bring me lots of tea, all hand-fried by herself. Didn’t you find it delicious too?"
"Her sister is so nice, and now that she’s sick, how can I not visit her?" Tang Yue’s eyes twinkled with expectation as she looked at him.
Faced with such hopeful eyes from Tang Yue, Si Yu couldn’t utter a word of refusal.
"Alright."
With Si Yu’s agreement, Tang Yue’s smile deepened.
Tang Yue hadn’t visited Sun Qing’s family yet but had heard from Mo Xiaolin which floor they were on.
Tang Yue was in luck; just as she was pondering whether to search room by room, she saw Sun Qing coming out with a thermos.
