Once Yunyi was out of everyone’s sight, she scanned the surroundings with her spiritual power, then directly entered Lin Zi. She used Qinggong to head towards the county town ahead.
Gui Kairong sat in the driver’s seat of one of the vehicles following behind. He hadn’t caught a glimpse of Yunyi along the way and was startled, fearing something had happened to her. A pang of regret hit him; he shouldn’t have let her go off alone.
The smell in the back of the affected vehicles was truly beyond description. Even those who were in good health and initially unaffected now looked unwell, all of them hoping to reach their lodging for the night as soon as possible.
After Yunyi located the hotel, she took a walk around the area to familiarize herself with the surroundings. Only then did she see the convoy approaching.
As soon as the vehicles stopped, someone went to coordinate with the hotel, and the film crew promptly booked all the available rooms.
Murong Linna found Yunyi. "Yunyi," she said, "I was scared when I saw you didn’t get in a vehicle earlier. Luckily, the director said you had gone on ahead."
Yunyi hadn’t expected Murong Linna to be concerned about her. "Thank you for your concern," she replied.
Murong Linna smiled. "I like your personality. But more importantly, I like beautiful people."
Alright, she’s definitely a sucker for good looks, Yunyi thought upon seeing Murong Linna’s expression.
Murong Linna, noticing that the production crew had already obtained the hotel room keys, nudged Yunyi with her elbow. "Yunyi, can we share a room later?"
Yunyi nodded. "That’s fine."
Besides, among all the actresses in the film crew, Murong Linna was the one she found most agreeable. Sharing a room with her would be best, she thought.
At the same time, a pot of brown sugar ginger soup was brought out from the kitchen, and everyone was told to get some in their cups or lunch boxes.
Afterward, both the medicinal soup and meals were delivered to their rooms. No one really wanted to face anyone else; it was best to avoid any further mutual discomfort.
After a night’s rest, by the next day, everyone was mostly fine, except for a few individuals who were still too weak to get up.
After some discussion, the film crew decided that those with severe diarrhea would stay behind to recuperate. The others would push through the difficulties and continue with the convoy. Upon arrival at the destination, the actors could take time off to rest, while the staff could begin arranging the site, ensuring no delays for either group.
So, around noon, Yunyi and the others boarded the vehicles to continue their journey. Thankfully, the vehicles had been thoroughly cleaned the previous night and had even been disinfected by local health department personnel.
Around four in the afternoon, the convoy finally reached the filming location.
Since someone had made arrangements in advance, they settled in quickly. The film crew informed them they could have the entire next day to rest and recuperate, so everyone could be in good condition when filming began the day after tomorrow.
