Yunyi saw his worried expression. "Don’t worry," she reassured him, "I’ll be careful." 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Huo Jingrui knew this was no time for sentimentality. If things spiraled out of control, the consequences would be severe.
He glanced at Yunyi, then turned and ran out. He had to race against time now.
The previous treatments had drained Yunyi of her physical and mental energy. She worried that more people would be sent over. Given her current condition, she feared she wouldn’t be able to hold on for much longer.
She propped herself up and said to the security team member waiting outside, "I’m going back to the small rear courtyard for a bit. Call me if anything happens."
The man nodded. "Understood, Doctor Chu."
Yunyi returned to the small courtyard, secured the gate, entered her room, bolted the door, and then entered her space.
She drank a cup of Spatial Well Water and finally felt revitalized.
After entering the Stone House, she dished out a portion of the braised pork with potatoes and rice she had prepared earlier and began to eat heartily. I can’t be bothered with appearances right now; filling my stomach is the priority. After all, there are still tough battles ahead. Expelling poison with silver needles is incredibly draining. I need to eat my fill to recover my strength.
She quickly tidied up, hurried out of her space, and rushed toward the clinic.
The Agricultural Reclamation Group had made preparations in advance. However, the forestry camp only took action after the collective outbreak among the pregnant women. Their conditions were generally not good, and the scene was utterly chaotic.
Luckily, the forestry camp had a tractor. Arrangements were quickly made to board the most severely ill pregnant women first. However, when some families heard that the pregnant women at the Agricultural Reclamation Group were already receiving treatment, they tried to rush onto the tractor, creating a cacophony of shouts, cries, and yells.
Huo Jingrui snatched a megaphone from a staff member. "Everyone, stop!" he yelled. "Follow the clinic’s medical staff’s instructions! Anyone who disobeys will be the last to board the tractor!"
Upon hearing Huo Jingrui’s warning, the agitated family members regained some composure.
Huo Jingrui understood their desperation, but with only one tractor available at the forestry camp, they had to prioritize the most urgent cases.
