Reborn to Burn Them All novel Chapter 39

Chapter 39

Chapter 39

Jonathan regretted not kicking Sophia out of the Chandler family when he had the chance. He had paid so much and still messed everything up. Thinking about it again made his head throb. If he wanted her to leave, he’d need a solid reason that wouldn’t make them a joke.

“Let’s wait until school starts,” Jonathan muttered, rubbing his aching temples. For the first time, he hated summer vacation. It was way too long

Thinking of the same problem, Heather complained silently.

The thought of facing Sophia’s threats

Land mental forment for more than a month left her feeling utterly drained.

Gripping his head in pain, Jonathan groaned, “I know! So what’s your solution? Do you really think she’ll leave just because we ask?”

He added impatiently. “From now on, stop provoking her. Starting tomorrow, I’m moving closer to the office.”

If he couldn’t deal with Sophia, he thought he could at least avoid her,

Heather was stunned. “What about me? What about Yvette?”

Jonathan caught a look in her eyes that screamed, “Every man for himsell

Heather advised, “Why don’t we all move out and come back after school starts?” She thought it was a brilliant idea.

But Jonathan disagreed. Someone had to stay behind. No one knew what Sophia might do if left alone.

Jonathan insisted, “No. You stay here and keep an eye on her. Just avoid her and make sure she doesn’t cause trouble. It’s only a month. I fly by.”

Heather didn’t like it, but she had no choice.

When the two had a deal, Howard stormed into the room with a phone in his hand, his face dark with frustration. He had just been scolded by Alfred again

He said, “Dad, can you do something about Sophia? How am I supposed to film my show with her causing all this chaos!”

Jonathan didn’t indulge him. “Aren’t you a celebrity? If you know you’re filming, shouldn’t you be able to control your own emotions? Why are you coming to me about it?”

Both Jonathan and Howard were at their wits end, yet neither could do anything about Sophia. Howard raked his fingers through his hair, his frustration almost palpable. “Dad, you can’t just let her keep running wild. Look at the mess she’s made lately!”

Jonathan asked, “And what exactly do you propose we do?”

Howard’s eyes narrowed with a malicious gleam before he spoke. “Just kick her out of the house!”

Silence fell over the room. Jonathan said nothing, and both Howard and Heather turned to him, waiting for his response.

Jonathan sighed helplessly and took a deep breath. The whole world’s watching the Chandler family right now. Just yesterday, her ant show drew so much attention. If we force her out now and it blows up, it’ll be bad for the company.”

Howard’s expression darkened further, his jaw tightening “Fine! Let me put it this way. Either she goes, or I do!

the

Jonathan secretly breathed a sigh of relief. So it’s not just me who feels this way, he thought, a hint of satisfaction creeping in. But he couldn’t act on it himself. He was still Sophia’s father, alter all.

Then an idea struck him, and he turned to Howard, “Howard, do you really think you and your sister can coexist peacefully?”

Howard didn’t even hesitate. “No way.”

None of them wanted to be the bad guy. Everyone knew Sophia wasn’t someone to cross lightly. When pushed, she could be downright terrifying Reluctantly, they decided to shelve the maller for now

Sophia worked late into the night and didn’t stir until 10 the next morning. Even then, she lingered in bed with her eyes closed, savoring another half hour of a nap before finally getting up

In the livestream chat, aside from Howard’s fans, plenty of viewers had joined just for the drama.

[Howard’s interactions with the rest of the family are pretty normal. He’s especially sweet and considerate toward Yvette. Be the perfect big brother. But honestly, it’s kind of boring

[Can someone get Sophia to show up already? if she doesn’t come soon, I’m leaving]

Jonathan and Sean had already left for the office, leaving Heather, Howard, and Yvette at home.

“Sophia, did you sleep well last night?” Heather greeted her with a smile. “You must be hungry. Come and have a seat.”

Noticing Heather’s awkward attempt to appear kind and enthusiastic, Sophia smirked. “If she wants to put on a show, I’ll play along. After all, I’m getting paid for this performance,‘ she thought, amused.

“Thank you, Mom, Sophia said sweetly. Then she turned to the others, her voice soft and sweet. “Good morning, Howard, Good morning, Yvette.” Her smile was bright and radiant.

“Thanks, my wonderful mom,” Sophia replied, hertone sweet and obedient.

At the table, the family shared what appeared to be a warm meal. Heather even used the serving fork to add food to Sophia’s plate several times, fully embracing her “loving mom” role

After lunch, the family moved to the living room.

Sophia’s radiant smile seemed harmless on the surface, but to Yvette, it was the grin of a devil. Her heart raced as: dress, terrified that Sophia might rip it off her at any moment.

Wetto silently slid the fruit platter toward Sophia. “Here, have some fruit, Sophia

“Thank you, Yvette,” Sophia replied, smiling sweetly.

Howard’s eyes stayed glued to Sophia, his expression tense, as if he was afraid she might pounce on Yvette at any second

Sophia tumed her gaze to Yvette. “Wow, Yvette, your dress is absolutely stunning”

The mention of the dress brought a flood of dark memories to Yvette’s mind. Her face went pale, and her shoulders stumped, as if she were trying to shrink into herself. She quickly looked away from Sophia, her eyes darting around

Howard caught Yvette’s reaction, and without a second thought, his expression darkened. He shot Sophia a deadly look.

Sophia blinked innocently and let out a soft laugh. “Why the glare, Howard? Relax. I’m being paid to behave today. Sweet, obedient, and the perfect daughter–just like you wanted.”

Howard, Yvette, and the livestream viewers were all stunned at that
