Upon seeing Derek on the sofa, he immediately asked in an anxious tone, “Dad, did Madelyn come back. just now?”
“Just now?”
Derek squinted his eyes as he gave it some thought, finally arriving at a conclusion. “No, I’m the only one
home.”
A hint of suspicion filled his gaze as he looked at Sebastian. “Did Madelyn cause trouble again and run off somewhere?”
“No.” Sebastian explained softly.
“Did you two fight?” Derek asked again.
This time. Sebastian remained silent, which was taken as a tacit agreement.
Sigh!
Derek let out a helpless sigh. “Madelyn has been like this since she was a child. When she throws a tantrum. she disappears off the face of the earth. It’s really worrisome.”
Sebastian responded nonchalantly, “Dad, it’s not her fault this time, it’s mine. I misunderstood Madelyn.”
Derek was clearly taken aback.
However, Sebastian didn’t plan on elaborating further. “Since Madelyn isn’t here, I’ll go look for her elsewhere. Please rest assured, I’ll find her soon.”
With that, Sebastian turned and left.
He began to ponder where exactly he should start looking for his girl.
However, as soon as he stepped out the door, he ran into Madelyn.
Madelyn’s heart skipped a beat when she saw him.
After Madelyn left the hospital, she simply found a place to sit down and allowed Josiah to help her re–dress
her wound.
Afterwards, she asked Josiah to go home first, while she herself took a leisurely walk back to the Thornton
residence.
After a long walk, her mood hadn’t completely recovered, but it was significantly better than when she was at the hospital.

Recalling his attitude carlier, Madelyn was seething without paying him any attention.
In the next moment, he reached out and gripped her hand.
“What are you doing?” Madelyn asked coldly
Sebastian knew she was still angry, so he softened his tone. “Are you hurt?”
“Mind your own business.”
After Madelyn finished speaking, she shrugged off his hand and walked away.
Her actions resulted in a tremendous force pulling her back. The towering figure promptly pinned her against the wall.
“Stop fussing. let me see your injury,” Sebastian said, reaching out to examine her hand.
Madelyn struggled. “No! I don’t need your help, stay away from me, you jerk. I told you I don’t want to see you, ugh…”
Before she could finish speaking, a wave of warmth silenced her.
Sebastian was left helpless by her antics. With no other choice, he grasped her wrist, pinning it against the wall, and proceeded to shower her with a passionate, all–encompassing kiss.
“Um… let me go… um…”
Whenever Madelyn attempted to resist, his kisses would only deepen, leaving her with no chance to complain.
In the end. Madelyn was kissed so passionately that she could hardly catch her breath. Left with no choice, she bit down hard on his lips.
Sebastian let out a soft gasp, fresh blood seeping from his lips.
Upon seeing the situation, Madelyn immediately felt flustered and hastily apologized. “I’m sorry, Sebastian.” she stammered, “I didn’t mean to… A–Are you okay?”
Sebastian heaved a sigh.
He didn’t care about the pain she had caused him, but rather her injuries.
Following that, he asked, “Are you still angry with me?”
Before she could speak, Sebastian had already taken her hand and gently lifted her sleeve to inspect.
Madelyn, on the other hand, obediently stayed still, allowing him to do so. Yet, her expression clearly.
showed some degree of discomfort

Given the circumstances, it was entirely necessary for Sebastian to arrange for a personal bodyguard to be with her at all umec
“Come on, give it a rest” She scoffed.
Then, in a sarcastic tone, she continued. “With a beauty by your side, how could you possibly think of me?”
She then retracted her arm and pushed Sebastian away from her.
“Since I seem to enjoy pretending and acting so much, why would you waste your time on me? Go spend time with your beauty. You’re not welcome in the Thornton residence, please leave”
After finishing her words in a huff, Madelyn was about to walk back inside.
Sebastian was at a loss as he pulled her back once more. “You’re overthinking it,” he said, “Harriet returned to the country because of a recent assignment she needed to undertake, that’s why she was called back.”
“Oh… really, and why should that concern me?” Madelyn’s attitude remained indifferent.
Seeing her face puffed up. Sebastian burst into laughter. “Still mad?”
“No.” Madelyn stubbornly turned her head away, her face radiating with a proud yet coquettish air. “I certainly don’t care about you.”
Sebastian chuckled, aware that she was just venting, and gently embraced her from behind.
“Don’t be upset anymore, it’s all my fault for making you upset.”
Madelyn’s heart softened at the embrace.
Then, without showing any further displeasure, she turned around to protest. Her voice was filled with a sense of being wronged. “Yes, I’m upset. You’ve nearly driven me to my wit’s end! What you’ve seen, it’s all a misunderstanding. I could’ve explained everything, but you wouldn’t listen. I didn’t even get a chance to speak. Do you have any idea how much it hurt? You were throwing a tantrum for no reason, not even considering how I might feel. I hit my head on the car door and you didn’t show the slightest concern. Do you even care about me at all?”
Madelyn poured out all the bitterness in her heart. For a moment, she even felt a sense of injustice and was on the verge of tears.
Sebastian watched with a heavy heart. He quietly explained. “I was angry, mostly because you went to see Christopher that night and even embraced him. I just couldn’t swallow my anger. You promised me, remember? You said you would only be devoted to me, but what happened?”
As it turned out, Madelyn was even more upset. “Who told you that I went to find Christopher that night? I was clearly going to look for you. That night, I was about to hit the sack when Wesley told me you were wasted. He asked me to come get you, and that’s the only reason I went. If you don’t believe me, I still have the message!”
As she spoke, Madelyn reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone, quickly scrolling to Wesley’s text messages. “Don’t believe me? Look, I still have his messages,” she said.
Sebastian was taken aback.

“What else could it be?” Madelyn huffed in exasperation, “I rushed over there, only to find someone passed. yout drunk on the ground. I thought it was you. But it turned out I got the wrong person, and you even had
the audacity to scold me! I really couldn’t believe it.
Upon hearing these words. Sebastian couldn’t help but furrow his brows.
He began to ponder the peculiarities of that night, including the unexpected appearance of Christopher, and the text message from Wesley.
Before long. Sebastian had figured it out.
As it turned out, Wesley was the one stirring up trouble.
