Lin Zhiyi’s heart was in her throat when the woman suddenly turned and waved to Catherine.
Catherine quickly followed her out.
They whispered at the door for a while before parting ways.
After the woman left, Catherine found an excuse to send the other two women off to do something.
Then she took Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin to a room.
As soon as they entered, the strong perfume nearly made both of them throw up.
Chu Yin held her breath long enough to recover.
"What are we supposed to do?"
Catherine glanced around at the door, then turned to look at them.
"She brought back two Chinese men, hoping to use you to pry information from them. I’ve worked hard to persuade her on your behalf, but she insists. If I say more, it could raise suspicion, so you must be careful yourselves."
"Chinese men?" Lin Zhiyi reacted, "Were they brought recently?"
"Yes, a couple of days ago." Catherine whispered, "Do you know them?"
Chu Yin was about to say she knew them when Lin Zhiyi interrupted, "No, we don’t. So, what should we do next?"
Catherine looked at them, pointing to the changing room behind them.
"Get changed, I’ll take you over in a moment."
"Okay. What should we be careful of?" Lin Zhiyi asked.
"Don’t talk, avoid suffering too much. If you can negotiate her matters, maybe you won’t have to entertain those foul men. Remember, since you’ve chosen to cooperate with me here, don’t put yourself first. My target is this den of thieves."
Catherine seemed worried that Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin might mess things up, so she repeatedly reminded them.
Lin Zhiyi nodded firmly.
After Catherine left, Chu Yin looked at Lin Zhiyi in confusion.
She thought for a few seconds and switched to the local dialect of Jing City.
"Why did you say you didn’t know them?"
"I don’t know, instinct. Do you trust me?" Lin Zhiyi asked.
"How could I not trust you? We’re strangers in a foreign place, it’s good to keep our words few." Chu Yin readily accepted this explanation.
She asked again, "Is it them? I remember the woman who just came in is the one in Captain Xing’s photo."
Lin Zhiyi nodded, "Probably, let’s discuss it when we meet."
Chu Yin responded with a hum.
The two quickly changed into club clothes, coordinating with heavy makeup.
It was late at night.
The entire club started bustling.
Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin followed Catherine nervously.
The environment here was more chaotic than expected, with an unknown haze filling the air.
Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin tightly gripped each other’s hands, staring closely at the door when they reached it.
Hoping the people inside were Gong Chen and Sang Li.
Just as Catherine was about to push open the door, a voice came from behind.
"She’s here, quickly take them over."
Catherine looked at Lin Zhiyi and Chu Yin, gesturing in another direction.
"Come with me."
Chu Yin was surprised, "Weren’t we supposed to go in?"
"Plans changed, no nonsense."
Catherine shot them a warning glance in public.
Lin Zhiyi bit her lip hard; no matter what happened, they had to be certain if the people inside were Gong Chen and Sang Li.
She immediately exchanged a look with Chu Yin, and they began to struggle.
Then crashed into the door.
The door cracked open, revealing an indecent scene inside.
Gong Chen and Sang Li sat on either end of the sofa.
Each holding a scantily clad woman in their arms.
Kissing passionately.
Another woman stood behind, caressing them.
Even under the dim light, their content profiles were visible, no care for being watched.
Even though Lin Zhiyi accidentally opened the door, the group showed no reaction.
Before Lin Zhiyi could speak, they were pulled away by security.
Catherine walked beside them, warning them to keep their mouths shut.
Lin Zhiyi was powerless to resist as the security guards dragged her away.
