Hector shook off Simon’s grip and stepped in front of Luna, shielding her as he glared coldly at Edwin.

“Luna’s incredibly talented, and you’re still turning her down. What kind of student are you even looking for?

“You’ll regret passing on someone like her.”

He had seen it clearly just moments ago-this professor hadn’t even finished reading Luna’s paper before rejecting her outright.

It was obvious the problem wasn’t Luna’s ability.

The man was clearly being difficult on purpose.

Even Wilson said Luna was exceptionally gifted for someone so young, with limitless potential.

But Edwin, using his position as a senior academic, was acting all high and mighty.

It was infuriating.

At that, Edwin’s expression turned dark.

A trace of mockery tugged at the corner of his lips. “Oh? So, when the polite approach doesn’t work, you try pressure instead? You really think that’ll sway me?”

He glanced at Luna. “This is the sincerity you’re talking about? Well, I’ve seen it. Now what?”

They were trying to use a mix of guilt and intimidation, and in front of a whole crowd no less.

However, too bad for them, that tactic didn’t work on him.

Whatever they were trying to pull, it was going to fall flat.

Luna flinched at the sharpness in Edwin’s gaze.

She quickly tried to explain, “Professor, you’ve misunderstood. My brother was just acting on impulse. Please allow me to apologize on his behalf.”

She hadn’t expected Edwin to embarrass her so directly in front of everyone.
