Return of the Crowned Heiress (Felicia) novel Chapter 239

Excitement aside, Felicia kept herself grounded. She had promised to deliver the second investment to Hexagon—soon to be renamed Jupiter—within three days, and she wasn't one to break her word.

She had long prepared for the day she would cut ties with the Fuller family, so when she was kicked out during the birthday fiasco, she hadn't even bothered signing the paperwork to claim the 5% stake in the family business they had offered as her "birthday gift". She didn't take it then and certainly wouldn't take it now.

Dusting off her hands, Felicia decided to head to Harmony Medical Center. Her medical skills were valuable, and treating patients always brought in hefty consultation fees.

But something was off the moment she stepped inside. The usually bustling hall had a stifled atmosphere. As soon as she entered, a mocking voice rang out from a corner.

"Well, look who it is—the Fuller heiress herself. What brings you to my medical center?"

The speaker was Harvey, a man Felicia had little respect for.

By family ties, he was technically her cousin, though she had never felt any familial connection to him.

Harvey stood with a group of people behind him. Many of them were senior physicians who worked at the medical center. Notably absent was Clive.

Felicia's expression remained calm, her voice cutting. "I almost didn't recognize you, Harvey. Tell me, how many years was Talia sentenced for? What was it again—human trafficking and attempted poisoning? That must've been quite a list of charges. By the way, have you divorced her yet? Or are you too busy bringing in your mistresses?"

Harvey's smug expression faltered, his face flushing red as whispers spread among the onlookers. His carefully cultivated image took a severe hit, and his anger flared.

"You insolent brat!" he shouted. "I don't want you here, and you're not welcome! Get out of my medical center, and don't ever come back!"

Felicia glanced at one of the senior physicians and asked, "Where's Mr. Walsh Senior?"

Harvey, with his chest puffed out like he had just won a fight, called out after her, "Make sure she's not allowed back in here—got it?"

After leaving the medical center, Felicia headed to Opulent Elegance, the most lavish entertainment venue in Khogend. It was a hot spot for the wealthy and powerful, catering to both business magnates and trust-fund heirs.

Among its many attractions was the gambling floor—a place where money flowed freely and luck determined fortunes.

When Felicia entered, the sheer opulence of the place hit her like a wave. Every detail, from the golden decor to the glittering chandeliers, screamed luxury. It was a true den of indulgence, and Felicia's eyes gleamed with recognition—this was the perfect place to make money fast.

Hearing the sounds coming from all around, Felicia's ears perked up. She felt her heart stir.

Her eyes were locked on one of the craps tables, zeroing in on the sound of the dice rattling in the shooter's hand. As the roll came to a stop, Felicia felt it in her gut and thought, "It's going to be high!"
