Chapter 3
My fingers trembled as I hesitated before pressing play on the video.

“Hurry up, she could walk in any second,” Serena urged, her crimson nails digging into the leather seat. Her voice was breathless, wild—something I had never heard from her before.
“Calm down. I sent her out to get the engagement ring fixed. That’ll take at least an hour,” Damian’s face appeared on the screen, his usual tension easing as a smug grin spread across his lips.
The sound of fabric shifting and the creaking of the leather seat filled the room.
The camera was pointed at the backseat.
Damian had Serena pinned against the leather, her legs wrapped tightly around his waist.
“Are you sure you have all the authorization papers?” Damian asked between ragged breaths, fingers roughly tearing at her lingerie.
Serena let out a hollow laugh. “Of course. She signed everything without a fuss. Once the doctor confirms… ah! … all her assets will be transferred to the trustee…”
“Which is you, her fiancé. Oh, Damian, not so rough.” She gasped as his teeth grazed her chest.
“After that, we can access the joint account.” Serena’s fingers tangled in his hair. “Are you sure about this? After all, you two have…”
Damian cut her off with harsh movements. “It’s been five years, and she won’t even let me touch her. Playing the saint?”
My grip on the bedsheets tightened until my knuckles turned white.
The video timestamp flicked to 3:28.
Suddenly, Damian’s phone rang. He snatched it up with an irritated scowl, glanced at the caller ID, then cursed under his breath. “It’s Norah.”
Serena froze. “She knows?”
Damian’s voice softened instantly, dripping with fake concern. “What’s wrong, darling?”
“What? A Sanguine Stone Turn? Now?” He frowned, shooting Serena a warning look. “Alright, I’ll be right there.”

Chapter 3
He ended the call and quickly straightened his clothes. “She’s been in a car accident.”
Serena smirked. “Is she dead?”
“No.”
“She didn’t die in a crash? She really is lucky.” Disappointment laced Serena’s voice.
“But she hit her head.”
“Her head?” Serena blinked, eyes narrowing. “Is it serious? Will it affect her judgment?”
“Yes, she hit her head. The rest… we’ll let the doctor decide.” Damian reached for the door.

Serena grabbed his arm, pulling him back. “If Norah’s in a crash, where else could she go? No need to rush. Let’s finish first.”
Damian pushed her down onto the seat again.
The last frame before the video cut off showed Serena reapplying her lipstick in the rearview mirror, a victorious smile curling at the corners of her mouth.
The timestamp read 4:01—just half an hour after my accident.
The phone slipped from my trembling hand.
In the frozen frame, Damian’s hand was clasped over Serena’s thigh. A ring gleamed coldly on her finger, right next to my engagement ring.
So this was all planned. A calculated betrayal meant to shatter me. And my so-called amnesia was the perfect cover for their treachery.
They sent me off alone to pick up the ring while they tangled in my car.
When I called for help, they were wrapped around each other…
How cruelly ironic. Afraid of forgetting something amidst the wedding chaos, I had set up the car’s timed video system the day before the crash, sending a clip every week.
And the very first recording exposed my fiancé and my best friend in bed together, plotting to steal everything from me.
I wiped away the tears burning in my eyes and shoved the phone under the pillow.
