Chapter 1021
Chapter 102
“Trying to copy Valerie? As if you could ever out–flirt her.”
“Seriously, how naive can you be? Valerie is the real deal–she actually makes a living off her looks. And this copycat thinks she can pull that off?”
The girls burst into malicious giggles.
Valerie took a deep breath, turned to glare coldly at them, and stood up. She said loudly, “Watch your filthy mouths. Unless you want me to rip them apart for you–permanently.”
The two girls kept running their mouths shamelessly, convinced that Valerie couldn’t do a thing about it.
Being scolded in public and drawing everyone’s stares, they suddenly felt a rush of embarrassment.
But they weren’t completely brainless. Seeing Valerie stand up, they whispered gloatingly under their breath, “Who do you think you are? What exactly can you do about it?”
Their voices were so low that only a few people nearby could catch them.
She sneered, “If I were you, I’d just suck it up. Getting kicked out in front of everyone? How humiliating.” She let out a gloating.laugh.
“Someone just got kicked out. Think you’re special or something, dumbass?”
“Just get out. Don’t wait to be kicked out.”
Valerie had already made up her mind to leave and was about to turn away when Aiden’s voice cut through the air. “Sit down.”
Valerie froze for a moment, then turned to look at him.
Aiden fixed his cold gaze on her. “You two in the back–out. Now.”
The two girls‘ faces paled in disbelief.
Unsurprisingly, Valerie once again became the center of attention–every pair of eyes in the room, from professors to the principal, snapped toward her.
The two girls sprang to their feet in protest and retorted, “Why us? She was the one who stood up first. What does this have to do with us? This is such obvious favoritism.”
“Just because she’s prettier than us and thinks she’s better at-” Before she could finish, her friend slapped a hand over her mouth, eyes wide with panic.
Shaking her head, she silently pleaded with her not to say another word.
Aiden’s expression turned icy.
He knew she wasn’t the confrontational type, but since even Arianna and Brody couldn’t bully her, he’d confidently assumed she could handle herself.
Aiden thought, ‘Who would’ve thought she’d still have to put up with losers like that, even at school?‘
Aiden fixed the principal with an icy stare. “Can’t keep your school in order?”
The principal looked flustered and stammered, “Well, technically, it was the girl in front who stood up first.”
Aiden tossed the mic aside. “Then I’m leaving/
The principal’s face turned as pale as a sheet as he hurriedly blocked Aiden, saying, “You two, leave immediately. Valerie, take your seat. Let’s not delay Mr. Walker any further.”

Chapter 102
The two girls‘ eyes welled up with angry tears, utterly unable to accept such humiliation.
Adrienne was stunned, but she couldn’t deny it. ‘This feels absolutely amazing, she wondered.
Watching the two slink away in shame, Adrienne clung excitedly to Valerie’s arm and exclairned, “Valerie, you’re amazing, Why is Mr. Walker helping you like that? What’s your relationship with him?”
Valerie coughed awkwardly and murmured, “Well, we’re married, I guess.”
The smile on Adrienne’s face cracked. Her eyes widened in shock. “W–What did you just say?”
Valerie felt even more awkward seeing her reaction and tried to clarify, “You know that Rolls–Royce that picked me up the other day? That was my husband’s. And the man on stage–”
Adrienne could hardly believe it and instinctively wanted to scream. Fortunately, Valerie, having anticipated this, quickly clamped a hand over her mouth.
Wait? That man on stage is her husband?‘ Adrienne’s mind screamed. Adrienne’s mind was screaming.
But she couldn’t scream out loud–she couldn’t risk making Valerie even more of a target.
Adrienne’s eyes turned red with excitement. She wondered, ‘No wonder when Valerie coughed just now, he immediately had someone bring her water. No wonder when that copycat tried to imitate her, he just ignored them and kicked them out.
‘And no wonder when Valerie was arguing with those two bitches in the back, he took her side without a second thought. It all makes sense now.”
Adrienne felt tears welling up. ‘Ah, it’s all because of love,‘ she thought.
Adrienne felt tears welling up–she was so overwhelmed, she was losing her mind.
Valerie couldn’t help but roll her eyes, thinking, ‘Sure, but there’s really no need for this.‘
Valerie weathered the hostile stares around her until Aiden’s lecture ended.
When the lecture ended, the crowd started to leave.
Valerie and Adrienne waited until the crowd had thinned out before making their way out at a leisurely pace.
The whole class had already gathered, but just as Valerie and Adrienne were about to enter, someone blocked their way.
A shy–looking boy stood before Adrienne, his cheeks flushing crimson. After stammering awkwardly for a moment, he thrust a folded note into her hands and mumbled, “P–Please read this. If you’re free, I really hope you can come.”
Some nearby students noticed what was happening and immediately started teasing, “Adrienne, does he like you?”
“Whoa. Looks like Adrienne’s got a secret admirer.”
“Come on, Adrienne, open it up. What’s written inside?”
It was the first time Adrienne had ever been in such a situation. Her slightly rounded cheeks flushed crimson.
It was the first time in her life that a boy had ever passed her a note.
Just then, someone in the crowd jeered, “He actually has a crush on Adrienne? Or is this just a ploy to get close to Valerie? Everyone knows how tight
those two are.”
Adrienne’s blush faded, somewhat as she forced a smile. “Well, that works too. Since Valerie and I are so close, what difference does it make who it’s really for?”

“As if there’s any comparison. Everyone knows Valerie has a sugar daddy backing her up–she gets chauffeured in a Rolls–Royce whenever she wants. Too bad you weren’t born with such a pretty face.” The voice was shrill, dripping with sarcasm.
It was Jasmine. She sneered, “If I looked like you, I’d be too ashamed to hang out with Valerie. Just her pathetic sidekick? How humiliating.”
Adrienne’s face drained of color–this was the first time she’d ever been insulted so directly to her face. Clutching the note in her hand, she looked clearly devastated. She also knew she wasn’t pretty.
Valerie’s heart sank as a cold, dark look crossed her face. She turned sharply to Jasmine and warned, “Say that again. I dare you.”
Valerie’s piercing glare, brimming with hostility, sent an involuntary shiver down Jasmine’s spine. She wondered, ‘Damn, her presence is just overwhelming.‘
Another girl standing nearby chimed in, “Yeah, she’s got a point.”
The girl, who was pretty close to Jasmine, shot Valerie an annoyed look. “I’ve seen your type plenty of times–you deliberately befriend plain–locking girls. The moment your friend starts looking better, you’d scheme to get rid of her, wouldn’t you? Scheming bitch.”
“Exactly. I’ve always thought so,” Jasmine sneered at Adrienne, her eyes gleaming with glee. “If I were you, I’d be too ashamed to stand next to her. She’s just using you, you idiot. And here you are, still acting like her loyal friend. Pathetic.”
