Valerie had always felt uneasy with Aiden. With his fierce and serious appearance, she felt a bit intimidated every time she saw him.

Valerie jolted, eyes widening as she checked the time. With a gasp, she quickly sat down and scrambled to eat.

‘Oh no!‘ Valerie thought. ‘I’ve promised Russell to be at his grandma’s birthday party today. I’ve even prepared a birthday song. I must hurry up and make sure I have a perfect performance.

Valerie paused halfway through eating, her expression turned strange as she looked up at Aiden and asked, “Wait a minute. Are you going too?”

‘But I thought Aiden didn’t get along with the Shelton family,‘ Valerie wondered.

Aiden shot back instead of answering her, “Can’t I go?”

Valerie immediately shut her mouth, thinking, ‘Alright, whatever you say.‘

While eating, Valerie kept stealing glances at Aiden, feeling something was wrong. ‘Why is Aiden interested in this kind of event?‘ Valerie wondered. ‘! thought he would never attend.

Camren had been searching for hours. In the afternoon, his people finally called, his voice tense. “Mr. Shelton, we’ve found Miss Shelton.”

Juliette had no idea who had dumped her in the remote wilderness. It was pouring, and she was unconscious, drenched, with faint ligature marks on her wrists when she was found.

When Camren arrived, Juliette had been rushed to the hospital.

Seeing Camren, Juliette burst into hysterical sobs, clutching her blanket as she whimpered, “Camren, it’s Valerie. She mave complained to her husband. The ones who captured me were sent by Aiden. It must be him!”

Camren’s expression darkened. After calming Juliette down, he asked her sternly if she had any evidence

Juliette sobbed and sniffled, but could not provide anything. She just kept crying, her eyes swollen, her face full of helplessness.

Seeing that he could not gather anything from her, Carmen sent someone to investigate further. However, besides confirming Juliette had been kidnapped, they could not find anything else.

After all, Juliette bore no wounds or signs of assault, nor were there any leads suggesting Valerie and Aiden were behind the kidnapping.

Moreover, Valerie had the perfect alibi. Her encounter with Juliette was purely a coincidence.

Camren took Juliette home to freshen up for Colette’s birthday celebration in the evening. This party was more than just a celebration. It was a meticulously planned homecoming ceremony to formally introduce their long–lost daughter.

However, suddenly, a commotion arose in the surroundings. Juliette noticed many people turned their eyes toward the entrance.

At the door, a stunning couple was walking in, holding an invitation. And not just any invitation, it was the highest–tier invitation. These were honored guests of the Shelton family.

Juliette caught sight of those two familiar faces and froze. The next moment, a surge of jealousy and hatred erupted in her heart like a tidal wave, utterly

uncontrollable.

‘It’s her again. It’s them again!‘ Juliette thought.

Russell spotted them from afar, and his eyes lit up with excitement. He quickly told his buddies before running toward Valerie.

Camren was engaged in a conversation when the man before him suddenly exclaimed, “Wow, isn’t that the new president of the Walker family? I didn’t expect you’d even managed to invite him over.”

Camren followed the crowd’s gaze and saw Aiden standing tall and imposing, with an ethereal young woman by his side.

She had a delicate face with a flawless complexion. Dressed in an exquisite off–white gown, she radiated an almost otherworldly aura. Especially when she smiled, her radiant vitality instantly drew every eye in the room.

“Wow, she’s so stunning!”

“Who’s that celebrity?”

“She’s not a celebrity, is she? Look at the man next to her. Isn’t he from the Walker family in Reano City?”

“Wow, it’s him! Aiden never brings a lady to events. What’s up today?”

“Didn’t you catch the recent gossip? That’s his newlywed wife!”

After this statement, the chatter in the surroundings intensified

As Camren listened to the chatter in the surroundings, his gaze swept over Valerie. ‘She’s indeed stunning.

“No, no, that’s not it! She really looks familiar. Doesn’t she look just like Grandma when she was young? Hey, I’m serious, don’t walk away!”

Camren ignored him and strode off in the opposite direction without a glance. This Aiden is so daring. He actually dares to show up?‘ he thought.

‘Even though I can’t prove Aiden kidnapped Juliette, now that he’s stepped onto Shelton’s territory, I’ve got plenty of ways to deal with him,” Camren thought.

Meanwhile, Russell was unaware of Juliette’s kidnapping. All he knew was that Valerie had been attacked the day before.

He had wanted to check on her, but worried her husband might misunderstand. After holding back for two days, he finally saw her and rushed over, calling out, “Valerie!”

Valerie exquisitely dressed up today, her demeanor poised and graceful. She wore a beautiful smile the entire time, and when she saw Russell approaching, her smile deepened noticeably.
