Revenge is My Love Language novel Chapter 692

Frowning, Anastasia was about to get out and see what was going on when the driver of the other car emerged.

It was a semi-familiar face—Lennon.

Anastasia’s eyes narrowed. With his flashy car and flamboyant attire, he looked every bit the arrogant heir. He walked straight toward their car, his eyes locking onto Anastasia with a burning intensity.

“You’re Anastasia, right?” he asked, a predatory smile spreading across his face.

“My name is Ms. Sterling. Please use it,” she replied coldly.

“Come on, no need to be so formal between us,” Lennon said with a smirk that didn't reach his eyes. “After all, I should probably be calling you sister-in-law.”

Though the words were polite, his tone was dripping with disrespect. The mention of “sister-in-law” and the thought of Harrison brought a slow, malicious sneer to his lips.

Though she had only just arrived in Riverton, Anastasia had already learned a fair bit about Lennon. He was an outsider with no real ties to the Lancaster family, yet because his mother was a mistress, he’d been given the Lancaster name and acted as if he were a true heir. He not only threw the family’s name around to get his way but also constantly antagonized Harrison, even daring to covet the family business.

She couldn’t fathom where he got his audacity.

Looking at him, Anastasia didn't bother to hide her disgust.

“What makes you think you’re worthy of calling me that?”

Lennon hadn’t expected such a direct insult. His face stiffened, then darkened with anger. “Don’t push your luck, Anastasia!”

She scoffed. “Or what? Who do you think you are?”

“You—!”

“Brother!” Crystal tugged his arm again. She clearly had more sense than Lennon and knew that a direct confrontation would do them no good. Still, Anastasia’s attitude annoyed her. She spoke in a soft, chiding tone, “Ms. Sterling, I know you may have some misunderstandings about us, but my brother is extending a kind invitation. There’s no need to be so hostile.”

Anastasia laughed. “You have a problem with my attitude, Ms. Lancaster? I would think you, of all people, would understand your place. Or were you actually expecting me to be polite?”

Lennon’s face contorted with fury. “What’s that supposed to mean, our place?!”

“Do I really need to spell it out for you?” Anastasia said, her voice dripping with contempt. “The children of a mistress.”

She stared them down. “Honestly, I’m curious. How can you two live in the Lancaster house and use the Lancaster name with such ease? Don’t you feel any shame? Have you no sense of decency?”
