Natalia narrowed her eyes. The top priority now was to sow discord.
She needed to drive a wedge between Alicia and Clayton.
“You handle this. If Clayton truly means to work with us, he’ll get what’s coming to him.”
A sly smile crept across Natalia’s face. “Don’t worry, sir. I already have a plan…”
…
After ending the call, Natalia lifted her chin and strode confidently out of the White estate.
Jade and Brandon had both fallen out of favor; Natalia alone still had the master’s trust.
“Natalia, you have to stop Clayton from marrying Alicia. If he agrees to the marriage, we’ll never have another chance to touch her!” Jade grabbed Natalia’s arm, her voice low and urgent.
“You’re just worried that if Clayton marries Alicia, the White family fortune will slip even further from your grasp, aren’t you?” Natalia sneered, shaking off Jade’s hand.
Not long ago, when Natalia still needed Jade’s help to get messages to the master, Jade had always looked down on her—the housekeeper’s daughter, never truly one of them.
Now, Jade was nothing but a stray dog. What right did she have to act superior?
Jade clenched her jaw, swallowing her fury. “Natalia, you’d better remember—we’re in this together. If we keep fighting each other, we’ll only end up angering the master.”
Natalia gave a cold laugh. “I’m the only one he trusts now… Are you jealous?”
With that, she turned away, her steps brimming with smug satisfaction.
Jade seethed, barely holding herself back. Once Natalia had disappeared, she kicked the wall in frustration.

“Ma’am, everything you asked for has already been investigated. The master anticipated this—he’s already planted people in every key position. You can act without fear,” Felix whispered, reassuring her.
Alicia let out a long breath and allowed herself a small, relieved smile.

He always thought ahead, anticipating every obstacle and smoothing the way for her, so she could charge ahead without looking back.
There was a gentle knock at the door. “Coco, may I come in?”
It was Mr. Brown—the old man’s most trusted confidant, and someone Alicia herself relied upon. She opened the door and greeted him warmly. “Mr. Brown.”
