Chapter 24
Chapter 24
When Janie and Jackson got up, David and Molly also stood up right after them.
Jason smiled and suggested, “Molly, we’re a team. Why don’t you join me and we can wander around? Hearing this, Molly nodded helplessly. “You guys go ahead,” she said.
Ryan looked at Janic, as if he had something to say, but stopped.
Xena continued, “How about we chat for a while and then go back together?” Ryan apparently agreed.
Jackson’s temper suddenly flared, “What are you pretending for!”
Janie calmly asked, “Is there anything else you want to say?” Xena was momentarily stumped by the question.
Janie’s voice was as calm as water, “It seems like you don’t have anything you want to say either. In that case, we’ll leave first.”
She turned to David and before she could say anything, he said, “We came together, so naturally we’re leaving together.”
Janic nodded in agreement. “Let’s go then. Goodbye everyone,” she said.
[Janie’s emotional intelligence is much higher than Jackson.]
[Janic, your replying leaves people speechless. So cool.]
The half–day recording was drawing to a close. There were no other recording assignments, and the live stream came to an end with no further recording scheduled.
Janie and Jackson said their goodbyes to the staff.
Jackson eagerly expressed his dissatisfaction to David, “Mr. Smith, you’d better go back to your good friend Emily.” He purposely emphasized the words “good friend.”
David explained, “She’s not my friend. It was just arranged by our company.” After a pause, he continued, “I felt an instant connection and want to be with you, so I hope you don’t mind.”
Jackson didn’t say anything, but his expression clearly revealed dislike.
David smiled amiably, “If you have something private to say, I’ll leave.”
Jackson stretched his brows, his mood improved, he couldn’t wait to nod his head and was about to continue talking.
Janie looked at David and spoke, “Wait, Mr. Smith.”
David immediately looked at her.
Janie swept him a glance before saying, “I see that your aura is dark and surrounded by black energy, I’m afraid that your life is in danger.”
David looked at the gentle girl in front of him in shock, and her words gave him a huge shock.
His first reaction was not to question. He hesitated and said half–jokingly, “Are you a psychic master?”
Janie didn’t deny it, “Kind of.” She took out a piece of talisman from her pocket and handed it to David.
He subconsciously took it, then felt that he was being ridiculous.

Chapter 24
He was surprised that he straight up believed this little girl’s joke,
He laughed, “I didn’t know that you like to joke around,”
Before Janie said anything, Jackson got angry. “What are you talking about! You’re lucky to have met Janie. How dare you question it! Give it back if you don’t want it!”
Janie glanced at Jackson and he immediately shut up.
She said, “It’s normal for you to have doubts. I see bad luck in your future, and since I saw it, I couldn’t possibly ignore it
She paused and continued, “You’ve been having a rough time lately, nightmares night after night, choking on water, almost getting into a car accident a few times, and even the birds passing by want to defecate on your head
David opened his mouth, before he had time to be surprised at how Janie knew so clearly, he was embarrassed by her last
sentence.
Jackson couldn’t help but look at his head curiously. David’s face turned red immediately,
Janie looked up and asked, “Am I right?”
David hurriedly said, “Everything you said is right. I do have bad luck lately. If you hadn’t saved me, I’m afraid I would have died by the axe.” He expressed his gratitude to them again.
Respect grew in his gaze, he said, “Miss Janie, you really are a master.”
Janie said unabashedly, “Keep this talisman close by. It will keep you safe.”
David felt strange somewhere, but agreed.
“If anything bad happens again, you can look for me, but at that time, I’ll charge.” she added.
David heard that she would have to charge, but he didn’t feel that she was tacky, instead he felt more at ease.
“I know.” He cherished the talisman and tucked it into his breast pocket. “Thank you so much, Miss Janie.”
Janie smiled indifferently, “It’s nothing.”
After all, such talisman was completely waste paper to her if she didn’t give it to others to use.
David however, was realistically relieved.
Thinking that he could get a good night’s sleep tonight, his gaze towards Janie became even more heated.
Jackson stared at him viciously. He turned his head away in embarrassment.

When they returned to the recording house, they happened to bump into Xena and the others.
Jason greeted them warmly. He was a bit surprised, “Why did you guys just come back?”
Xena was also surprised, “Didn’t you guys come back a long time ago?”
Janie followed their example and was also surprised and puzzled, “I said let’s go, not that we’re back here, we wandere
around some more.”
Xena and Ryan thought back and it seemed that it was indeed the case. They naturally weren’t very comfortable in their hearts, which meant they didn’t want to stay with them. Especially Ryan, his unhappiness was obvious.

Jason came to a realization, “So that’s how it is.”
He added with a smile. “Then we’re destined to come back here together just in time.

At this time. Emily also walked to the door, and her live streaming device was still on. It seemed like she hadn’t stopped live streaming.
She said happily, “Everyone is back! I’ve prepared the meal, come and eat together?
She added in an apologetic tone, “I didn’t control my emotions and brought troubles to you all today, and also delayed your time, so I’ve been cooking all afternoon to express my apologies. I hope that you guys won’t take it personally with me.”
She looked sincere, no surprise, some viewers were bound to forgive and pity her instead of Janie.
[I’ve been watching her live stream and she’s really been trying to cook! She didn’t even know how to cook before, but she’s still working so hard that she insists on doing it even when her fingers are all scratched and burned!]
[Yeah, Jackson, Janie, and David are really too much, Emily didn’t do anything wrong!]
[You guys are really stupid! You can’t do anything but stand on the moral high ground and point fingers at others. Guess why Emily insists on live streaming while others haven’t for a long time.]
