"We're finally here," Riya muttered as she jumped down the helicopter. To be honest, she felt a bit tired when she thought about those magic beasts that she encountered along the way.
The ground road was much safer before the second earthquake because there were a lot of people maintaining it but the air route was still very dangerous. This made Riya started thinking that she might have to make something that could ensure their safety.
But the protective flying devices were not that easy to make.
It was really troublesome.
"Riya," Samuel called out.
"Sam," Riya replied with a smile and then looked at the man from the Magic Association nearby. She arched her eyebrows and then looked at the crack. "It seems that they have no plan to close down this crack." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
From the vigilance that the man from the Magic Association had shown, Riya could guess this much. The perception for a rank 7 magician was definitely very high and it was hard to hide one's emotion in front of them.
Samuel nodded with a shrug. "The Magic Association wants to take care of it."
"Can they?" Riya asked her biggest doubt. Even though the rank 7 magic beasts that came out of the cracks so far were the weakened version, if they hadn't reached rank 6, it would be hard to deal with these magic beasts.
"You don't have to question our qualification, Miss Riya. You're not the only strongest person in the entire world," a voice interrupted from the side.
The two people turned their head and saw that there were a group of people from the Magic Association and their eyes narrowed slightly. This was because they could see that the person leading them was already in his fifties and from the aura that he exuded, he was already at the middle stage of rank 6.
For someone who was not a returnee, this rank was definitely very high.
As for whether he could advance to rank 7 in the future or not, that was not a question that they needed to consider.
"Is that so?" Samuel had a businesslike smile on his face. "May I know who am I talking with?"
"This is Mr. Mireya Tarun from the Magic Association. He's one of the two deputy leaders of the Magic Association and he's qualified to make such decision." Someone else from the from the Magic Association explained.
Tarun?
Riya's eyes flickered and she moved her eyes to look at the few people who followed behind Mr. Mireya. Upon seeing the familiar face, her eyes darkened slightly.
"I can see that Mr. Mireya looks quite powerful." Samuel still has the same smile on his face. "Does the Magic Association confident that they can deal with the rank 7 magic beasts coming out of this crack?"
"Naturally." Mr. Mireya let out a faint laugh. "We can't possibly let go of such good resources, right?"
"Indeed." Samuel chuckled. "But I hope the Magic Association will not mind if I were to take the loot that I have obtained before?"
Before these Magic Association did anything, he was the one who defended the crack and Samuel's request was reasonable. After all, no one would be willing to work without obtaining anything.
"Of course." Mr. Mireya nodded generously.
"That's good."
"Tsk," the woman sneered.
"If you're not satisfied, you can go back to your husband."
Hearing this, the woman didn't say anything else and only looked at the magic beasts' corpses on the ground with longing. She turned her head and when she saw Riya, her eyes flashed with disgust.
Training and mana would improve one's appearance and physical condition.
This naturally also apply to Riya.
But in the first place, Riya's appearance didn't change that much as she was too lazy to care about it. Aside from wearing a magician's robe that she had modified to protect herself, those who knew her would definitely recognize her.
So when the woman turned her head and saw Riya, she naturally knew who she is.
"Why is she here?" The woman asked coldly.
"I don't know." Mr. Mireya looked at Riya but the other people from the Magic Association didn't seem to know either. After all, Riya didn't really publicize the fact that she's a rune master so loudly.
Riya didn't have the interest to tell the entire world about this matter.
And the helicopter driver came from the military. Every soldier knew the confidentiality rules, so they would not expose Riya's identity unless she's the one who said it first.
