Chapter 35
Nivera yanked her wrist again, the metal biting cruelly into her skin, causing her to hiss
Alejandro didn’t react. He simply stood there, cool and detached, as if her struggles hored him.
“You can’t leave me like this” she said, desperation creeping into her voice.
He finally tilted his head, studying her with a look so cold it burned. “I can, Cabezota,” he declared, his voice ke ice. “And I will”
Without another word, he turned on his heel and strode across the room, his back a wall of indifference
He grabbed a towel from a nearby chair, slinging it over his shoulder in a casual, almost lazy movement.
The bathroom door swung open, and he went in; the soft click of it closing slammed through her like a punch.
He was really… showering. As if she wasn’t even there. Panic clawed up her throat. She yanked at the cuff again, feeling it chate her wrist raw.
She could hear the sound of the water running, even though it was faint, and it macked her.
She bit down a scream, bears stinging her eyes as she was beyond frustration.
She was still in her dress, as well as the six–inch heel that was making her legs ache.
He didn’t care.
Not even enough to stay and listen to her bag.
Nevera slumped against the bed frame, heart pounding in her ears, fury, fear, and humiliation swirling in a sickening knot in her stomach.
Nivera once again yanked uselessly against the cold steel binding her wrist to the heavy bed hame
The cuff didn’t budge.
Shehutted out a breath, anger swelling and her cheeks burning from the sheer injustice of it all.
How dare he?
This wasn’t just over the line–this was insanity. She wasn’t a criminal to be treated li
“Ahh!” She groaned as she struggled harder, the metal biting into her skin, but no one was coming to save her.
No one ever did.
Nivera sat rigidly, muscles tense, and she closed her eyes.
A few minutes later, she heard the bathroom door finally swing open with a soft cock.
She opened her eyes and instantly regretted it
Alejandro stood there, towel slung lazily over his shoulders, a loose pair of grey sweatpants riding low on his hips.
His chest was bare, glistening faintly from the shower.
She couldn’t help but take in his features. Sculpted muscles, sharp lines, a lean waist.
His damp hair was a mess: rebellious and unstyled, giving him a devastatingly boyish look that didn’t soften him in the slightest.

Chapter 35
No, If anything, it made him white.
Less polished. Mare cav
A beautiful, brutal rensinder than Alejandro Garcia wasn’t just powerful he was predatory.
Nivera’s stomach flipped traitorously as heat curled low in her belly despite every furious, rational thought screaming inside her that he was an awful, arrogant, controlling bastard.
And he was the most beautiful bastard she had ever seen
Her free hand clenched into a fist, and her nails dug into her palms.
She hated herself a little for noticing, but she was a woman, not a saint.
Alejandro didn’t, however, spare her a glance. Instead, he walked around the room casually, drying his hair with the towel, utterly at ease chained like a criminal.
The humiliation burned hotter. He didn’t get to ignore her.
“Let me go!” she snapped, trying to sound commanding instead of desperate.
He finally turned his head, slow and deliberate. The look he gave her made her throat go dry.
Cold, possessive and dangerously hot.
He sauntered closer until he stood towering over her–the scent of clean soap and heat rolling off him in waves.
“You don’t seem to understand your position yet,” he said, voice low, soft–like velvet laced with poison.
He crouched down, bringing his face level with hers, blue eyes glittering,
“You don’t make demands here, Nivera,” he murmured. “You obey. You surrender. Or you suffer
Every word was a chain tighter around her ribs.
“I hate you,” she whispered viciously.
A slow, terrible smile curved his lips. “That warms my heart, Cabelota. It would be a problem if you loved me,
The way he said it told her that there would literally be a problem if she did. What did he have against love? Especially when it looked like he had been raised in love.
She jerked her wrist, the cuff clinking pitifully against the bed.
Alejandro merely straightened, walked over to his closet, and, to her mounting horror, pulled out a soft, thin blanket.
He tossed it at her feet without paying her any attention,
“There. So you don’t freeze.” His tone was mockingly generous.
Her jaw dropped.
“You expect me to sleep like this?” she demanded.
“In this dress? in this makeup? Chained like a damn animal?”
Alejandro
o didn’t respond at first; he simply walked over to his bed and stretched out languidly across it, one arm behind his head, muscles flexing,
Chapter 35
He looked at her, deadpan, and kald,
“You should’ve thought about that before you tried to run, Cabezota, Goodnight, I’m tired”
And with that, he flicked off the light.
Darkness immediately swallowed the room, and Nowra stared into the abyss, seething.
This wasn’t happening. There had to be a way out. After all, the people in intovies were always a
sable to get out of handcuffs
She tugged furiously at the cuff again, but it rattled mockingly, unyielding
“Tuck you!” She cursed him under her breath, and she cursed herself ton.
If only she hadn’t tried to leave it only she hadn’t gotten caught. She furned, muttering venomous insults into the darkness, but they didn’t reach the intended receiver, as he was fast asleep.
Maybe if she apologized. Maybe if she promised she wouldn’t leave again, he would let her go. But even the thought tasted bitter on her tongue
And knowing Alejandro, he wouldn’t accept her apology, and he would only rub it in.
Tears burned behind her eyes. She felt pathetic–trapped, helpless, humiliated in her fancy dress and smeared lipstick.
Slowly, reluctantly, she inhaled deeply. There was really no getting out of this. If she had to survive this night, she would.
After all, he couldn’t still leave her cuffed there the next day? Right?
Her heart dipped at the fact that she couldn’t answer the question with a definite no
With stiff fingers, she reached for the thin blanket and draped it awkwardly over hersell, curling up as best she could.
The cold from the floor seeped into her bones, but she closed her eyes, forcing herself to relax.
One minute. Five minutes. Ten. She didn’t know how much time flew by..
Finally, exhaustion pulled her under, and she drifted into a restless, uneasy sleep.
Time slipped by.
The moonlight cast silver shadows across the room, and the two people in the room–that was until Alejandro’s eyes opened in the dark.
Silently, he sat up, his feet touching the floor soundlessly.
He crossed the room in a few long strides, crouching down in front of her sleeping form
Nivera’s face was peaceful now. Vulnerable. Soft lips slightly parted.
That same stubborn mouth that had defied and cursed him all night–now relaxed in slumber.
Alejandro tilted his head, studying her
She looked so breakable like this.
