Chapter 93
“Are you telling me that the great Matthew Elton can’t spent his da
petrol his daughted Talitas hined in annoyance
“I can, but it’d involve using force, and I’d rather we not resent to that until we absolutely have to, Matthew responded as his eyes moved to the corner of his office.
Tobias’s jaw ticked as hefollowed Matthew’s line of sight. “She needs to be reminded who the really is
“Exactly,” Matthew agreed, pointing his glass slightly in Tobias‘ direction. “She needs clarity. She needs to see what kind of future che’s really building with him. Because I assume you, it won’t end with a white dress and a family name.”
The older man cleared his throat. “So, what’s your plan?“
Matthew set the glass down, leaning forward now. The tension in the room shifted, focusing solely on him.
“We get her alone.”
The silence that followed was sharp
“No Alejandro. No guards. No locked estates or watchful eyes, Just her. Away from his influence. That’s when you make your mov
Damon raised a brow. “What kind of move are we talking about?”
“I don’t care if you talk her down, reason with her, seduce her, or put a ring on her finger and take her to the altar, Matthew said. “But she needs to remember who she was before he came along.”
“Hmm.” Damon’s eyes gleamed with something dark–possessive. “I’ve waited long enough. Just get her away from him, and I’ll handle the rest.”
Matthew gave a singlened. “We will. But not with noise, Not with drama. She’s clever, and he’s worse. We can’t afford a mistake.”
He moved back behind his desk, placing the empty glass down.
“But bear in mind that it’s not going to be easy. My daughter is not simple. If she were, she’d already be yours.”
Damon’s arrogance flickered again. “She’s always liked me. We have history
“You have history. Alejandro has her attention. And that makes him more dangerous than any gun or threat.”
The older man folded his hands. “What do you propose? How do we get her alone? Kidnapping?”
Matthew shook his head. “No. Nothing so… dramatic. Not yet. It has to feel natural. Familiar like a reunion or a coincidence. Something soft. Something that doesn’t raise alarms.”
“I can make it happen, Damon said confidently.
“Good. Then do it
–
“And you believe we can get her away from him? Teblas squinted his eyes.
Matthew’s eyes were cold. “Alejandro can’t watch her every second. He’s too arrogant for that. He’ll slip.”
Damon’s smille returned–slow, smug, full of quiet anticipation.
“I’ve waited long enough,” he stated. “Let’s bring her home.”
“Start preparing. Have your people ready/When the time comes, we’ll move quickly.”

As they made for the door, Mathew added, almost alssently. “We just need to get her ends in our favenir?

And Matthew sat there for a moment longer, already planning the next move.
Do you think this is the best option? A voice came from inside the office.
Matthew turned in the direction where it came from to reveal Aria, in the comer of his office–who had been there all along while the conversation was
happening
“I built an empire. I built it knowing my children would inherit it. Nivera thinks she can rewrite that destiny just because she’s angry. Just because she
wants to prove herself.”
“You’re too uptight, a little freedom wouldn’t hurt her,” Aria sighed in resignation.
“Let her run for two years. That was her freedom. Her little rebellion. But the clock has run out. And if she thinks Alejandro Garcia is a way out, then she’s about to learn how wrong she is.”
“She won’t be happy with this,” Aria wamed.
“She doesn’t need to be happy,” Matthew replied. “She needs to be safe. She needs to be reminded of who she is and what’s expected.”
He paused to take a deep breath. “Besides, Alejandro is just going to hurt her in the end.”
“You can’t be sure about that. The boy seems enchanted by her, Aria stated as she got up to pour herself a drink.
“If he wasn’t, he wouldn’t have done the things he had done for her.”
“The boy is a good actor,” Matthew sneered. “He has fooled the world into thinking he’s a harmless man, unlike the rest of his family–he’s also fooling
Nivera
“Hmm,” Aria mumbled as she chugged down her drink.
