I sat in the doctor’s office, getting my wounds treated.
The door burst open, and Jason stormed in, looking like he was about to commit murder. As the Head Warrior, his aura was especially intimidating.lle startled the doctor. I glanced back.“It’s alright, he’s my… boss,” I said, hastily replacing “partner” with “boss” at the last moment.
Jason had something stuck in his throat. He went to the doctor and asked, “How serious are the
injuries?”
“Superficial wounds, nothing to worry about,” the doctor replied, seemingly uninterested in our relationship. He finished treating my wounds and prescribed some ointment.
I thanked him and left. Jason followed closely behind, beating me to the payment counter and then to the pharmacy, acting like a dutiful partner. I didn’t bother to say anything.
Outside the hospital, I called a ride–sharing app. Jason snatched my phone, put his arm around my shoulder, and forcibly dragged me to the parking lot. He opened the passenger door and shoved me inside, then got in on the driver’s side. He slammed the door shut, instantly cutting off the outside noise. The atmosphere was heavy.
“You blocked me, and tried to kill yourself to punish me?” He turned to me, his expression weary and angry. Our bond hasn’t been severed yet, I could sense his uncase and weariness.
I stared at him, speechless for a moment. Then, looking at his thunderous face, me and my wolf burst out laughing. My heart had been heavy, but his absurd accusation amused me. He’d wronged me, and I’d tried to kill myself to punish him? My wolf was speechless, “WHAT A NARCISSIST!”
“Rest assured, you won’t have that kind of trouble. Give me my phone back,” I reached for my phone, which he was still holding.
