Chapter 4

That evening. Windy Anderson, the owner of Grande Bistro, invited me to a club.

It was almost eleven o’clock, and I didn’t want to go, but considering that I had started my own business after leaving Horizon Group and needed connections, I went.

As soon as I entered the club, I saw Windy. “Windy, I can go up by myself, why did you come

down?”

Windy affectionately linked her arm with mine as we entered the elevator. “I was afraid you’d get lost. You haven’t been here before, right?”

That was true; I hadn’t been here before. We went upstairs, and Windy took me to a large private room with a large Chinese–style screen dividing the middle. Upon entering, I noticed several people on the other side of the screen, but Windy didn’t take me there; instead, she took me to a seat where only one female omega sat.

The omega was somewhat familiar; I think she was the girlfriend of one of Jason’s friends. The other woman seemed to recognize me too, and her expression was a bit awkward, but she still smiled at me.

After I took off my coat and sat down, Windy left again. I took a sip of the drink that was offered. The boisterous, playful chatter from the other side of the screen gradually reached my ears. Then, their conversation turned to me.

“Speaking of which, Jason doesn’t bring Sophia Wells to our gatherings anymore.”

Duh, Miss Cooper is such a cute young omega.. Now, he takes her everywhere, treating her like the apple of his eye.”

Jason finally changed his taste.”

“No matter how beautiful Sophia Wells is, after seven years, he’s probably tired of her.”

“She’s such a love fool. She’s been with Jason for so many years, and in the end, she’s just been played. If Jason doesn’t want her anymore, I’ll take care of this bond severed omega. I’ve been craving that skinny waist of hers for years!“…

My beautiful eyes grew cold. I recognized two of the voices: they were Jason’s friends; they always called me “Sophia” so sweetly.
