Chapter40.

We were at a private hospital, and we had contacted them beforehand. The nurses were waiting

at the door. As soon as Xander got out of the car, they took me and pushed me to the

examination room.

12:30 am. Hospital ward. I woke up from a daze.

I turned my head and saw Xander sitting by the bed. His shirt was wrinkled, his sleeves rolled up, and three buttons of his collar were undone, casually as if he had just run a marathon.

My voice was hoarse, and I had a stuffy nose.

I cleared my throat and answered, “Dad.”

“Sophia, where are you?
