Arriving at the factory on the island, I showed my identity, and the factory manager, along with the administration and finance staff, immediately came out to greet me. The factory manager was a man of about 40 years old, of medium height, slightly overweight, with dark skin. Seeing me, a flattering smile spread across his face.

We exchanged brief introductions. The factory manager’s name was Lucas Bennett, a local who had worked there for fifteen years, starting as a workshop worker.

“We heard Mr. Shaw was coming to inspect the branch company, and we were very happy and excited. Everyone wants to see him,” Lucas Bennett said passionately.
