His Unwanted Gamma novel Chapter 160

Elara’s POV

I knew I had nothing to hide.

I wasn’t Thome’s Luna anymore. I wasn’t his mate. So why did it still feel like I was doing something wrong?

The door flew open, and there he wasThorne. And the look on his face made me freeze.

Pure fury.

His eyes burned with rage, his chest heaving as if he’d just run a marathon. His anger crackled through the air, and for a moment, I thought it might actually tear through the walls.

I should’ve expected this. I should’ve prepared myself. But nothing could’ve prepared me for the raw, wild look in his eyesthe kind that only came out when the beast inside of him was about to break free.

Thorne!I hissed, my voice sharp with panic. Don’t-

But he didn’t hear me. He didn’t care.

In a blur of motion, he lunged at Dorian, grabbing him by the collar and dragging him out of the bathtub with a force that made my heart stop. A punch landed with a sickening crack, and I swear I heard bone break.

Thorne!I screamed, but my voice was lost in the chaos.

Dorian stumbled back, coughing up blood, but he raised his arm in a desperate attempt to fight back. But Thorne was already on himhis hands wrapped around his shoulders, lifting him off the ground like he was nothing. He slammed Dorian against the wall with a deafening thud that made the whole room shake. The wall cracked under the impact, and the bricks came tumbling down on top of him.

But Thorne didn’t stop there.

A growl rumbled from deep within his chest, and I saw the shift beginhis skin rippling, his bones contorting. Within seconds, he was no longer a man.

He was a massive black wolf.

His fangs gleamed, his yellow eyes glowing with vicious hunger as he bared them at Dorian. I could feel the air grow colder, the tension suffocating.

No

I knew Dorian could take a few hits from Thorne in human form, but the wolf? No one survived that. Not unless they were crazy enough to face it headon.

STOP!I shouted, my voice breaking.

I lunged forward, hoping to break through the chaos, but Thorne’s wolf tail swept across the room, sending me crashing to the floor. I groaned, struggling to rise, but everything felt heavy.

I watched in horror as the wolf placed its enormous paw on Dorian’s chest, pinning him to the rubble. Its mouth hung open, and I knewif Dorian didn’t shift, that would be it.

Dorian!I cried out. Shift! Or he’ll kill you!

Chapter 160

But Dorian didn’t move.

D

Blood coated his body, his hair matted with it. His arm twisted unnaturally, but he didn’t shift. He stayed human, vulnerable,

I didn’t understand. Why wasn’t he shifting? Why was he just lying there, waiting to die?

Then, a horrible thought struck me.

He couldn’t shift.

+201

I couldn’t believe it at first. He wasn’t a rogue, not like Thorne. He came from the same world we did. He wasn’t our enemy. He was our friend.

Thome, STOP!I shouted, desperate. He’s our friend! He’s here to help us! You can’t kill him!

Thome froze for a moment, his body tense as if he’d been struck.

Then he growled, his voice icy. He’s a fucking rogue.

No!I cried, tears stinging my eyes. Look at him! He can’t shift. Just like me.

Dorian’s jaw tightened, but he didn’t deny it. His silence only made my heart break more.

I couldn’t let this happen. Not like this.

Thorne, listen to me!I choked out. You said you wanted peace. You said you wanted to unite the worlds. But if you kill him, how does that help us? He might be the key we need!

My voice shook with emotion, and I clenched my fists. If you kill himI’ll never forgive you. I swear I won’t.

The wolf’s yellow eyes locked onto me, and I saw somethingpain? Regret?

You won’t forgive me?Thorne’s voice was low, dangerous.

I nodded, my words sharp. Yes. And I’ll kill you to avenge him. I’ll make sure of it.

Thorne’s body flinched, like he’d been physically struck by my words.

The massive wolf shifted again, his form shrinking and warping, until Thorne stood in front of me, his face twisted with rage.

He grabbed me roughly by the collar, pulling me up from the ground. His hands were stained with blood. Dorian’s blood.

For him?Thorne snarled. For a guy you barely know? And you’d threaten me? After everything we’ve been through?

I met his gaze, my heart pounding. Yes. Because you’re becoming a monster. You’re letting jealousy turn you into something you’re not. You’re not the man I loved anymore.

His eyes darkened. The man in front of me wasn’t Thorne. He was something elsesomething dangerous.

His lips curled into a smile, but it wasn’t the kind of smile that made me feel safe.

You think I can’t hurt you?His voice was cold, menacing. You have no idea what a jealous man is capable of.

Before I could respond, he dragged me out of the bathroom, his grip tight on my arm.
