Three weeks later. I was having back pains for five hours now. I stood up and my water broke. I changed clothes and grabbed my suitcase. I walked out to my car carrying a towel. I put the suitcase in the back seat of the car. I then put the towel on the front driver seat before getting into the car. I backed out of the driveway and drove to the hospital. I parked the car in the parking lot got out opened the back door and took my suitcase out. I locked the car and walked into the emergency room.

May we help you a nurse asked? Yes, my water broke I am in labor. She brought a wheelchair over and I sat down. Is there anyone we need to call? No. And I do not want my name in the newspaper either. She wheeled me to the elevator and we went to the maternity ward. I was in labor for five hours before my little girl was born. She had looked like Ryder but had my green eyes. I walked up onto the porch and sat the suitcase down so I could unlock the door. I then picked the suitcase up and walked into the house shutting and locking the door behind me. I walked up the stairs and laid Luna in the baby bed. I took the suitcase across the hall and sat it at the foot of my bed before I walked down the stairs to make a cup of coffee and sandwich. After I cleaned up my mess I walked back upstairs and took my shoes off. I turned the baby monitor on and lay down.

I walked out of the garage and saw that Kathy's car was sitting in the driveway next door. She should be going into labor soon. I asked Norman if he had seen Kathy but he said not for a few days. I saw Donna drive in and park. She had just gotten off work. Have you seen Kathy I asked her? What do you care, Ryder? I love her that' why. She is my woman. Sure she is.
