It has been five hours and we had not heard how Lisa was doing. I heard my name called 10 minutes later. I looked up and saw a doctor standing in the doorway. I stood up and said I am Savage. How are you related to Lisa? I am her fiance. I said god forgive me for lying but if I didn't he would tell me nothing.
We managed to get the bullet out and stop the bleeding. The bullet was very close to her spinal cord. I am afraid that she could be parallelized. But we won't know for sure until she wakes up. I balled my hands into fists. Can I see her? Yes, follow me. I walked behind the doctor down the hallway to the ICU. I walked in and sat down in the chair near the bed. She was hooked up to all kinds of tubes and was on oxygen.
She looked so tiny in the hospital bed. I held her hand and talked to her. Lisa, please wake up. I want to look across the bar and see you working on your schoolwork. I want to hear you get sassy at times. Please do not die. I look forward to seeing you in the bar. I like how you do not look at the other men. I like to hear you laugh when Whiskey teases you.
Lisa, I want you to know that I will find out who did this to you. I need you to wake open and open your eyes. Please don't make me call Jim and tell him you got shot. He will kill me. I hung my head and thought about how I used to hate going to the bar until she walked in. She makes it worth my time now. She is so pretty to look at and she is shy and naive.
I stood up and did what I always wanted to do. I kissed her on her forehead and told her I would come and see her tomorrow. I turned and walked to the door. As I left the room a nurse walked over and asked, would you like to have coffee with me after you visit your sister tomorrow? Lisa is not my sister. She is my fiance and no I do not want to have coffee with you. I turned and walked to the elevator and back to the waiting room.
How is she Savage they asked me? The bullet was really close to her spinal cord. She might be parallelized but they won't know for sure until she wakes up. Let's go back to the bar I said walking out of the room and outside. As I arrived back at the bar I told Whiskey what the doctor said. He was pissed off. She better not be I said looking at Savage. She did nothing to deserve this.
Is she has naive as she lets on? Is she as nice and sweet or is she putting on an act here I wondered? She does seem to have a fear of men especially some bikers. But I smile as I think about how she tries not to show it. She is so tiny and has a bit of a temper. I am worried about Lisa and why someone would want to hurt her.
I called beast and asked him to ask Sara, Kelly, or Donna about Lisa. They all work at the same nursing home just different shifts. Sara works first shift and Lisa works second shift. I watched as several of the club members and the members of a few allies look at the corner table off and one.
