Chapter 652
Cameron looked up and met Jacqueline’s eager gaze. After thinking for a moment, she said, “Mom, maybe the right person just hasn’t shown up yet
Jacqueline replied, “Cam, you spend all your time in the lab. How are you supposed to meet anyone?”
Cameron fell silent.
Jacqueline took her hand and said gently, “Cam, you spent years and finally succeeded in developing a cure for leukemia. Now it’s time to take a break and clear your mind.”
Cameron understood her worries and nodded. “Okay.”
By the time Damian and Camilla returned home, it was almost midnight.
They thought everyone else was already asleep.
So, they sat down on the couch, planning to chat for a bit before heading to bed.
“Why are you still up?”
From the doorway came a man’s deep, slightly amused voice.
Camilla turned around, a smile spreading across her face. “Brad, what took you so long? It’s already midnight.”
Bradley was dressed in a black suit, his white shirt buttoned up perfectly–he looked every bit the serious, steady professional.

Camilla nodded. “Yeah, Viremont. Brad, I heard you went to high school there, right?”
“Yeah.” Bradley nodded.
His high school was indeed in Viremont.
But after graduating, he went abroad and never made it back to Viremont.
“You two went together?” Bradley chuckled. “That must’ve been a pretty big deal—someone that influential, and they inved both of you to their celebration party?”
Damian turned on the TV, flipped through a couple of channels, and happened to catch a news segment about Cameron.
“That’s her. She’s the one who came up with the breakthrough treatment for leukemia,” Damian said, pointing the remote at the girl on the screen.
Bradley stared at the TV for a few seconds, a look of surprise on his face. “Wow, she’s that young? And a woman, too? She’s quite pretty

Chapter 652
He quickly looked away and turned to Camilla. “Camilla, it’s really late. Go get some sleep.”
Camilla stood up. “You too, Brad. Don’t stay up too late.”
“Okay.” Bradley nodded.
“You’re back? Brad, you also came back just now?” Beth had guessed Camilla check. And sure enough, they were home.
“Mom, why are you still up?” Camilla walked over and linked her arm with us.
Beth replied, “How could I sleep when you weren’t…”
