Chapter 733
Tightening his grip on her hand, Bradley chuckled softly, “I just don’t want to be away from you so soon.”
Cameron set her phone down and looked at him. “Don’t you live right next door to me?”
Bradley tightened his arms around her. “I don’t want to be apart from you for even a second.”
Cameron pinched his chin. “Then why did you disappear for so long this time?”
Bradley opened up, his voice sincere. “I was just afraid you would abandon me.”
Cameron murmured, her voice soft, “I already said yes to marrying you, didn’t I?”
Bradley rested his chin gently on her hair and let out a quiet sigh. “Guess I was just being silly.”
Cameron sat up in his arms. “Brad, after dinner, come home with me. My family’s pretty mad you vanished on us like that.”
‘Gavin is especially pissed. Dad’s been kind of gloomy, too,‘ she wondered.
Bradley sat up too, reaching for his gold–rimmed glasses on the nightstand and putting them on. He nodded. “Alright, I’ll go back with you and apologize in person.”
Two hours later, Cameron and Bradley walked hand in hand into the Yates Manor’s main hall.
The Yates family fell silent for several seconds because of Bradley’s sudden arrival.
Jacqueline was all smiles. “Brad, you’re back.”
Levi kept a stern face, clearly still unhappy about Bradley’s sudden disappearance.
Amelia chimed in, “Bradley, you finally showed up. Cam’s been going crazy looking for you for over a month.”
Lance said, “Good thing you’re back.”
Gavin scoffed, “You’ve got some nerve showing up here, huh?”
“Gavin, better-” Cameron started.
“Cam, stay out of this,” Gavin interrupted.
Gavin immediately pulled her behind him before she could say another word.
Bradley flexed his fingers, missing the warmth of Cameron’s hand that had just been there.
He looked at Levi and Jacqueline sincerely, then gave a slight bow. “Mr. Yates, Mrs. Yates, Gavin, Lance, Lwant to sincerely apologi disappearing all of a sudden. I’m truly sorry.”/
Gavin scoffed, “You think just saying sorry is enough? How are you going to make up for the hurt you caused Cam? Do you even know what she’s been through this past month?”
Bradley pressed his lips together and met Cameron’s gaze, his eyes full of regret. “I know. I’m sorry.”

Chapter 733
He never actually left Viremont the whole month.
While Cameron was searching for him, he kept his distance, avoiding her, yet secretly watching over her from the shadows. It was a constant tug–of–war inside him.
Cameron was miserable, and he was suffering just as much.
Cameron shook her head gently.
Levi watched her reaction and sighed softly to himself, though his face remained stern. “Don’t let it happen again.”
Gavin frowned. “Dad, you’re just going to let him off the hook like that? He left Cam hanging for a whole month.”
Jacqueline chimed in, “Come on, Gavin. Brad must have had his reasons.”
Gavin shot back, “I think he just doesn’t care about Cam.”
Bradley said solemnly, “Mr. Yates, Mrs. Yates, Gavin, Lance, I promise nothing like this will ever happen again.”
Gavin scoffed. ‘Again?‘ he thought. If there ever was a next time, he’d make sure Bradley never set foot in their house again.
Jacqueline smiled, “Alright, Cam, did you and Brad have dinner yet?”
Cameron nodded. “Yeah, Mom, we already ate.”
