Dielas City
In a certain hotel, Kisha was lying on a massage bed getting a full body massage treatment with her eyes closed.
"Kisha, are you sure that the person you invited will be coming?" her manager doubtfully asked as she looked at Kisha who was enjoying herself.
Kisha didn’t open her eyes but said in a low voice, "Don’t worry. She is the kind of person that doesn’t go back on her word."
"But_"
"Trust me on this, Brenda."
Brenda sighed helplessly as she checked the time and said, "I hope she will show up."
"She will. I will call her as soon as I am done," Kisha promised.
Kisha didn’t feel like Diamond would stand her up. She had known Diamond for a while now, and she wasn’t the type of person who would sabotage others for no reason.
Besides, she had received a text before from Diamond, who informed her that she was already in Dielas. She just didn’t want to pressure Diamond and make her feel uncomfortable with her urging.
So, after the massage was done, Kisha called Diamond without further ado.
"Hello, Diamond."
[Umm, hello. I was about to call you.]
"I guess we have telepathy," Kisha happily smiled as she said that.
[I guess that we do. Anyway, I wanted to confirm with you again when the banquet is starting.]
Kisha brightened up upon hearing that.
"The red-carpet event will start at six, so we should be there before that," Kisha replied.
[Oh! Am I supposed to participate in that event too?]
"Yes, we both must, but if you are uncomfortable, then, um, _"
[I will attend, don’t panic.]
Kisha heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing that. She had indeed started panicking after hearing Diamond’s question.
"That’s good then. Do you need me to pick you up?" Kisha asked anxiously.
[Umm, how about you give me an address? I will come and pick you up.]
Kisha was a bit surprised upon hearing that. However, since she really needed Diamond to go with her, she was left with no choice but to agree.
"Sure, you can come and pick me up. I will send you, my address."
[Okay, just do and will be there on time.]
The two didn’t speak for much longer before they were done.
After ending the call with Diamond, Kisha helplessly looked at Brenda.
"What is it?" Brenda asked curiously.
Kisha shrugged her shoulders as she stood up and said, "I won’t be needing the car. Diamond will come and pick me up. Let’s go and get ready. I don’t want any mistakes to occur."
Brenda looked at Kisha when she said that. She didn’t know what else to say. After all, it wasn’t like she was being given a chance to refute or add anything.
In the end, Brenda dutifully did her job and spent the afternoon helping Kisha to doll herself up.
One good thing about celebrities, socialites, and influencers was how it was easy to get something to wear. As long as the person’s brand was strong, with a good reputation and the person was well known, there was no need to purchase clothes.
What they needed was to get a sponsor, wear their products, and advertise their brands during events like the one Kisha was going.
Kisha was a famous actress and despite her young age, she had been working in the industry for a very long time. So, she wasn’t one to lack clothes whether her own or purchased ones.
However, for the banquet, Kisha wore a long satin mint evening gown with sleeves from a famous domestic brand, K.L., that was on par with Bermuda. freew\ebno\vel..(c)om
She also wore jewelry from the same brand as well as shoes. K.L. specialized in women’s wear and they made everything.
By the time she was done with dressing and makeup, it was around four, and all that was left was to wait for Diamond to come and pick her up.
Thirty minutes later, Kisha, who had eaten an apple to pad up her tummy, received a call from Diamond.
"Brenda, let us go downstairs. Diamond is here to pick us!" Kisha enthusiastically informed Brenda.
"You look pretty good!" Diamond sincerely complimented her as soon as she saw Kisha.
Kisha chuckled softly upon getting complimented. If she didn’t know that Diamond was sincere, she would have thought that Diamond was being sarcastic and trying to piss her off.
Although it had been seconds since she entered the car, with a glance she could tell that Diamond’s clothes were far too superior to hers.
"You look stunning as well. What are you wearing?" Kisha asked curiously as she scanned Diamond’s outfit.
Diamond flashed a grin at Kisha after hearing her asking that.
"I am wearing VERTAH. They have a nice collection!" Diamond happily praised as she thought of how the system loved giving her VERTAH clothes more than any other brands.
Upon hearing the brand of the clothes that Diamond was wearing, Kisha didn’t know whether to be happy or sad.
K.L. was in no way comparable to VERTAH. VERTAH was a brand that many socialites and influential women would die to get a piece of clothing from and yet Diamond, whose background was still fishy, could take out such a beautiful piece of evening gown and didn’t seem to be fazed about it.
"They indeed know how to make good clothes!" Kisha could only helplessly say.
After picking up Kisha, the Phantom Extended car left the hotel to many people’s amazement.
On their way to the venue, Kisha told Diamond everything that she needed to know, and Diamond listened attentively since she was learning.
The car arrived at the scene around half-past five and they waited in the car for the event to start.
As they couldn’t just enter the venue as they wished, they needed to wait until they were called for.
"You will be famous after this day, trust me!" Kisha couldn’t help but inform Diamond with a smile on her face.
When she thought of how crazy the reporters would be as well as the fans who were lucky to witness the red-carpet event in person, when they saw Diamond later, she even feared for her popularity.
Getting compared was seriously the worst thing that could happen to a person and she hated it.
However, since she was the person who invited someone superior to her from the get-go, she could only suffer in silence.
Nevertheless, she won’t be suffering a huge loss. After all, there were many benefits of being associated with a beautiful person. And she was looking forward to that.
"I intend to!" Diamond said softly as she looked outside the car.
