Taco Town
It was a Friday and a day that a lot of people were looking forward to. And that was more the case, especially on Diamond’s Ioniq page.
Lying on her bed, as she kicked her legs playfully, Diamond busied herself as she checked her page. It was simply crazy how a joke of hers had ended up in such a way.
Who would have thought that the target she made as a way to check how her followers would react would result in such an end?
"Andrea, isn’t your mother awesome?" Diamond asked excitedly as she looked at the 325,000-follower count, which was increasing continuously.
[You are amazing! Are you just seeing that now?]
"Andrea, you ..... you can talk!" Diamond was speechless after hearing Andrea’s response.
It was indeed a good thing that Andrea didn’t have a body otherwise, the two of them would always be fighting.
[So, now that the figure had tripled. What are you planning to do?]
Andrea, despite being an A.I., had always been dedicated to monitoring Diamond’s social or online life.
As long as there was no harm in what other people were doing, he wouldn’t take action. But for those people who wanted to blacken her and dig up information about her, Andrea always blocked them and made sure that they wouldn’t get anything.
And since there were many of them, he already stopped reporting these people to Diamond. As long as there was no physical harm to Diamond, he would maintain it that way.
"Let’s do a ruffle and for the people that win, I will send them some money," she responded coolly as she typed a post on her wall.
Shortly after, a post was uploaded, and instantly comments appeared below it.
[DIAMOND: Thank you everyone for your following. Like I said that day, when the following count reaches 100k, I would pick three people to send some Christmas gifts. But now that you have tripled, I will pick ten people. The reward will be a cash reward, and I hope that those who are lucky will find some use for the cash reward. I wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year in advance. Comment your name in the comment section. The ruffle will start in an hour and the results will be announced in another hour. So good luck everyone.]
Diamond watched as comments tricked in and most of them were comments with names posted. It was quite entertaining, and some of them were even writing long paragraphs that made Diamond tear up.
Unfortunately, she couldn’t read everything that they sent as she received a phone call she had been waiting for, for a while now.
"Hello."
[Hello, Ms. Perry. Is it convenient to meet you today?]
"Oh! Is what I asked for done already?" she asked curiously as she sat up on the bed.
[Yes, and we would like to meet face-to-face to finalize everything.]
"Okay. I am free. I will be there in like ninety minutes," she said as she crawled from the bed.
[Thank you. I will see you then.]
After that, the call ended and Diamond started getting ready.
Since she was at home, she had been dressed casually, but now, with a meeting to attend to, she had to change.
She picked a white full circle, a pink short-sleeved blouse and a pair of blocked heels.
She wore studs as the only jewelry on her body and picked the new saddle handbag she purchased the day when she and her family went shopping a few days ago.
Done with changing, she took everything out and headed downstairs. When she reached downstairs, there wasn’t anyone.
Her parents were out and meeting with their friends, while Ruby was busy reconciling with a few high school friends of hers. And that left Diamond, who no longer had any friends in Taco, to stay at home.
And since it wasn’t that boring to stay at home as there were a lot of things that she could do, she didn’t mind staying there.
But now, she had somewhere else to go. She couldn’t wait to see what was in store for her.
Diamond took the remaining car in the garage, which was an addition she added to the family garage. There were just two cars at home, and her parents were using one while Ruby was using the other.
Diamond didn’t want to use any cabs, so she purchased a car. That way, whenever she was in Taco, she wouldn’t need to wait for her parents to use a car.
Diamond drove the Plaxedis seven-seater SUV out as she headed for the meeting point.
